Telltale finally put a date on it. The Wolf Among Us Remastered goes on sale on 29 October, and it lands on every platform the same day. That is the whole announcement: no price, no word on what happens if you already own the original, no rundown of what has been redone.
Which leaves a more useful question for the next couple of months. The original is still being sold, and the three platforms are in wildly different shape. On one of them you cannot buy a licence of your own at all right now.
What is confirmed, and what people are guessing
Confirmed: 29 October, all platforms. Anything else you run into — a free upgrade for existing owners, extra episodes, a price bracket — has not been said by anyone yet. We will put a number in here the day there is one worth putting.
The game being remastered is Telltale's episodic take on Bill Willingham's Fables comic, and it still carries a Metacritic score of 85. That original is what you can actually buy today, so it is worth knowing what each store is really handing you.
On PC the honest price is about five euros
The PC page has 23 live offers spread across 14 stores. The cheapest right now is € (with coupon AUGGOC10) at Kinguin; this morning that came out as 2.50 € at Kinguin, tagged Steam Key. One seller, one price, and nothing near it.
Below that there is a gap, and then the pack. Eneba opens at 4.84 €, and from there up to the 5.09 € at Gamivo there are eleven offers from seven sellers: Eneba, Driffle, Gamivo, Kinguin, YUPLAY, HRKGame and K4G. Eleven Steam Key offers packed into twenty-five cents is what a real market price looks like. Five euros is the figure to carry around. The 2.50 € is a bonus if it survives until you click.

The floor has been sliding down month after month, gently. Today's figure sits under all five of those, so it is the lowest point we hold across that stretch.
The GOG copy, the gift and a 39.99 € account
Same page, several very different things for sale. A GOG Key starts at 9.48 € at Kinguin, with Eneba at 9.71 €. The better-known shops sit higher: GamesPlanet at 11.53 €, Fanatical at 12.02 €, and GamersGate, Greenmangaming and Playerland all at 14.99 €. A Steam Gift, where someone gifts you the game instead of handing over a code, starts at 19.90 € at G2A, with Kinguin asking 28.78 €. And the most expensive entry on the whole page is a Steam Account: 39.99 € at Difmark.
An account is not a licence. You are buying your way into somebody else's Steam login, the library stays in their name, and here it costs eight times the going rate for a Steam Key. Skip it.

PS4 has nothing on sale that you would own
Two offers, and both of them are accounts: 7.49 € at Difmark and 14.99 € at Getagame. Not one PSN code among them.
So the honest answer for Sony's console today is that there is nothing here we would tell you to buy. Either a proper code shows up on the The Wolf Among Us PS4 key page, or you wait for October.
On Xbox One the cheapest offer is not a code either
Five offers from four stores, and two of them are accounts. The one sitting at the top on price is 2.26 € at Kinguin, so ignore it, and ignore G2A at 8.64 € for the same reason. The cheapest genuine Xbox code is 6.86 € at Eneba, and the one after that is Eneba again, already up at 12.13 €. Right now the comparison shows € (with coupon GOCDKEYS10) for the code. Microsoft's own store sells the same game for 14.99 €, so the gap between the platform holder and the cheapest reseller is just over eight euros.
That is where things stand until 29 October: five euros or so on PC, around seven for an Xbox code that stays yours, and nothing worth your money on PS4. Whatever the remaster asks for will decide the rest. The Xbox offers are on the The Wolf Among Us Xbox One key page.
