Riders Republic is free to play until Monday, 26 October. Ubisoft opened a free weekend on Thursday the 22nd to celebrate the game's fifth anniversary, on PC and consoles, and added a sale on top: up to 90% off on the Ubisoft Store until that same Monday, and up to 80% off on PlayStation and Xbox until 4 November. If you try it and end up buying, you keep your progress.
What Ubisoft has planned for the anniversary
For two weeks from 22 October, Henri PFR is playing a concert inside the game twice a day, and watching it gets you a reward. Ubisoft also has a date for the next step: Riders Republic comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on 9 December, and on the same day every version gets Nomad, an offline mode.
PC: the cheapest we have ever seen it
This morning's best PC deal is a Uplay Key at Kinguin: €2.92 with the OCTGOC10 coupon (€3.50 with fees). Without the coupon, Kinguin lists it at €3.24 before fees. We've tracked this key for 495 days and it has never been this cheap. The previous low was €3.07 on 17 October, and the median is €5.19 (historical figures don't include fees), which puts today's deal 44% below its usual level.
Worth knowing before you pay: a Uplay Key is activated in Ubisoft Connect, not on Steam, even though Steam sells the game too. On PC the free weekend also runs through Ubisoft Connect, so if you're already playing the trial there, the key goes straight onto that account. Steam charges €39.99 (no fees), so the Kinguin key saves you 91% even after fees. There are 131 offers in stock; these are the four cheapest right now:

Xbox: not a great moment to buy
On Xbox the picture is different. The cheapest key is an Xbox Key at Gameseal for €5.85 with SEAL17CKD (€6.69 with fees). That sounds cheap, but it's 7% above the key's median of €5.45 (no fees), and it has been cheaper on 222 of the 354 days we have on record. The lowest we saw was €2.10, on 7 January.
Key4Games shows up lower down at €2.16 with GOCDKEYS15 (€2.51 with fees), but that's an account, not a key. You log into someone else's Xbox account that already owns the game, so it's never really yours. We'd take the Gameseal key, or wait. The Spanish Microsoft Store still had the standard edition at €39.99 (no fees) this morning; the official Xbox sale runs until 4 November, so check it again over the next few days. All offers are on our Riders Republic for Xbox page.
PS5: the PlayStation Store has the best deal
On PS5, the cheapest way to get a copy in your own account is the PlayStation Store sale itself: €7.99 (no fees). Key4Games sells an account for €4.69 with GOCDKEYS15 (€5.15 with fees), with the same catch as above. For less than three euros' difference, we'd buy the official copy.
Our PS5 history is short, just 22 days, and on 17 of them it was cheaper than today, with a low of €4.99 on 23 June. That's not much data, but it does say €7.99 isn't the floor. Offers: Riders Republic for PS5.
Buy now or wait?
It depends on your platform. On PC there's little reason to wait: the key is at its lowest in our history, and the free weekend lets you find out by Monday whether the game is for you. On PS5, €7.99 in the official store is a fair buy while the sale lasts. On Xbox, the key has been cheaper on roughly two days out of three, so if you can hold off, set a price alert and we'll email you when it drops.
Waiting for the Switch 2 version? It's out on 9 December, but Ubisoft hasn't announced a price yet, so there's nothing to compare it with.
Prices checked on the morning of 24 October.
