Prime members can grab Caravan SandWitch at no extra cost. It's part of Amazon's October batch of free PC games and has been claimable since October 15. Amazon's announcement doesn't say when the offer ends, so don't leave it until you've forgotten about it.
One thing worth knowing first: what you get is a code for the Amazon Games app, not a Steam key. If you don't have Prime, or you want the game in your Steam library, the Steam Key costs €1.24 (€1.30 with fees) at Difmark Digital Keys this morning with the coupon Gocdkeys.
What kind of game is Caravan SandWitch?
A laid-back exploration adventure with no combat. You play as Sauge, who returns to her home planet, Cigalo, a sci-fi desert world, to look for her sister. Your base is a van. It's developed by Studio Plane Toast and published by Dear Villagers.
Players like it. Steam reviews are Very Positive, with 2,493 of 2,833 recommending it (88%), and it holds a 75 on Metacritic.
Claiming it with Prime
- Make sure your Prime membership is active. That's the only requirement.
- Go to the Amazon Gaming website and sign in with your Amazon account.
- Find Caravan SandWitch among October's PC games and claim it.
- You'll get a code. The game is downloaded and played through the Amazon Games app, so install that on your PC if you don't already have it.
If you're looking for Prime Gaming, that's the old name. Prime's free games now sit under Amazon Luna.
The game lives in the Amazon Games app
Claiming it won't add anything to Steam. You launch Caravan SandWitch from Amazon's own app, and it stays yours: cancel Prime later and you keep the game.
The same batch also includes Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, which works differently. That one is redeemed on Epic, after linking your Epic account to Amazon.
Want it on Steam? It costs just over a euro
Plenty of people would rather not install another launcher just for one game. For them, the best deal this morning is a Steam Key at Difmark Digital Keys: €1.24 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€1.30 with fees). Steam itself charges €8.74 (no fees), so you save 85% even after fees.
That's a genuinely low price for this game. The median key price in our history is €2.29, and the previous low was €2.00, both without fees. In 183 days of tracking we hadn't seen it this cheap before.

Cheapest PC deals this morning
PS5 and Switch aren't part of the Prime offer
The free copy is PC only, and on consoles the game costs a good deal more.
On PS5, the cheapest PSN Key is on the PlayStation Store itself at €12.49 (no fees). Key4Games has it for €9.03 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€9.69 with fees), but that's an account: a separate PSN account that already owns the game, not a copy added to yours. Both are on the Caravan SandWitch PS5 page.
On Switch, the cheapest eShop Code is at Driffle, €21.18 with the coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€22.34 with fees). Key4Games also sells an account for €7.94 with GOCDKEYS15 (€8.55 with fees), with the same catch. See the Switch page for everything else.
If neither price works for you, set a price alert for the PS5 version and we'll email you when it drops.
