Hell is Us is a year old. It held on to a good reputation along the way — 3,492 of its 4,207 Steam reviews are positive, which is a Very Positive rating — but what you pay for it now depends almost entirely on which shop you open.

And the smallest number on our page is not a copy of the game.

Three shops on the PC page sell an account, not the game

Sort the PC page by price and the first thing you see is €3.99 from Difmark. That is a Steam account: you buy the login to somebody else’s account with Hell is Us sitting in it. The game never joins your library, you cannot gift it or resell it, and if the seller changes the password there is nothing to recover. Three of the 73 offers on that page work this way.

€11.55 buys the cheapest copy that stays yours

Eneba has the Standard edition as a global code at €11.55. Behind it: Kinguin at €11.98 for the Europe region, two Driffle offers at €11.99, K4G at €12.02, Gamivo at €12.19 and €12.23, HRKGame at €12.35. Eight shops packed inside eighty cents.

Steam itself charges €19.99 for the Standard, and Humble Bundle asks the same. Above that the page gets expensive quickly: GamesPlanet €36.63, Fanatical €37.24, Green Man Gaming and GamersGate both parked at €49.99. Twenty-four shops in total, 73 offers.

Four months of daily readings, and one cent left to fall

We have recorded this page every day since 28 April. In all that time the headline €3.99 has not moved a single cent: same account, same shop, morning after morning.

Take the account sellers out and the history says something useful. Through July and the first half of August the cheapest real code drifted between €11.70 and €11.96. On 19 August it touched €11.54, the lowest figure we have on record. It bounced back to €11.98 at the end of the month and has been sitting at €11.55 since 3 September.

One cent above its own floor. There is nothing left to wait for on PC.

Xbox comes out cheaper than PC, PS5 does not

PlatformCheapest copy you keepShop
Xbox€10.03Eneba, Europe region
PC€11.55Eneba, global
PS5€17.99PlayStation Store

The Xbox page holds 33 offers from 11 shops. Its cheapest, €8.87 at GamesPSN, is another account; the first code you redeem yourself is Eneba’s Europe one at €10.03. That is a euro and a half under the best PC offer for the same Standard edition. The Spanish Microsoft Store, meanwhile, was still asking €59.99 on 29 August.

PS5 turns the logic around. Seven offers, five shops, and the PlayStation Store’s own PSN code at €17.99 undercuts every reseller on the page. Only two accounts go lower, GamesPSN at €13.25 and Difmark at €15.79. Amazon France stocks the boxed Standard at €24.90 and the boxed Deluxe at €44.90. Of the three platforms, this is the one where the official store is the right answer.

A Europe code will not open on a US account

Eneba’s Xbox offer costs €10.03 for Europe and €14.03 for the United States. Same shop, same edition, four euros apart, and the cheap one will not redeem on an American account. When the offer says global, the region question disappears; when it names a region, it has to match yours. That is the most common way people lose money on a cheap code.

Deluxe editions that land below the Standard

Thirty-two of the PC offers are Deluxe, starting at €16.72 from CJS-CDKeys for Europe. That is €3.27 less than Steam charges for the plain Standard, which makes the bigger edition the better buy for anyone who was going to pay Steam’s asking price anyway. On Xbox it goes further: Kinguin’s Deluxe at €10.62 and Gamivo’s at €10.83 both undercut several Standard codes on the same page.

Put the two editions side by side before you buy Hell is Us key, and check the region tag on whichever one wins.

Steam Gift copies are a separate matter: eight of them on the PC page, starting at €23.89 from Gameseal, all of them above Steam’s own asking price.
