Fireshine Games has finally put numbers on Denshattack!: 150,000 copies sold and 300,000 players. Undercoders marked it with a free update called Platinum, and it is already out. What Platinum adds has not been spelled out anywhere, so we are not going to fill in the blanks for them.
The part that matters to anyone still deciding is simpler. Platinum costs nothing on all three platforms, so nobody ends up with a better version by paying more. The only thing left to choose is where you buy the game, and the three pages we track look nothing alike.
Thirty offers on PC, two on each console
The PC page is comparing 30 live offers from 14 stores. Xbox has two offers. PS5 has two. On PC the shops undercut each other every day; on console there is nobody to undercut, so the official price is simply the price.
The other thing PC has and the consoles do not is a Steam verdict: Overwhelmingly Positive, 2,645 positive out of 2,699 reviews. Fifty-four people out of nearly 2,700 came away unhappy. Neither the Xbox page nor the PS5 one carries a verdict, because Steam only scores the PC version. If you buy on console, the public opinion you are leaning on belongs to PC players.
Nothing under 10.50 euros is a licence you own
Line the PC offers up by price and the first six are all Steam Accounts. Difmark opens at 7.99 euros, then four shops land on exactly the same 9.05 euros — Gamivo, Driffle, Kinguin and K4G — and G2A follows at 10.07. Buying one of those means logging into a profile that belongs to somebody else. The game never enters your library, your hours and achievements sit on a stranger's account, and a password change ends the whole thing.
Live, the cheapest Steam Account on the page is € (with coupon Gocdkeys). We quote it because it is the first figure you will see, not because we would spend money on it.
The first Steam code sits 7.49 euros under the official price
Skip the accounts and the first genuine licence belongs to Eneba at 12.50 euros, Standard edition delivered as a Steam Key, and there are two offers at that same figure. Steam, Greenmangaming and Humble Bundle all ask 19.99 for the identical product. Right now the cheapest Steam Key is € (with coupon GOCDKEYS10) at Eneba.
From there the page climbs in short steps: Kinguin at 12.74 and 12.75, Gameboost at 13.25, CDKeys at 13.89, Gamivo at 14.27, GamesPlanet at 15.51, G2A at 16.20 and 16.26, K4G at 16.37 and 17.75. Then come two Steam Gifts from K4G and G2A at 18.15 and 18.22, and Difmark Digital Keys at 19.18. Above the official 19.99 there are four more Steam Gifts between 20.58 and 21.15, which is a present that costs more than buying the game from Valve.
Our own record for the PC version holds 782 measurements and the lowest figure in the whole series is 7.29 euros. The last two monthly lows, 7.29 and 7.82, land in the same band as today's 7.99 Steam Account, which tells you what kind of offer usually occupies the bottom of this page. The number worth carrying around is the monthly average: 13.22, then 13.04. Measured against that, 12.50 for a Steam Key is a good day rather than a record, and Valve has been sitting on 19.99 for months.
On Xbox there is no middle ground
Two offers, and they could hardly be further apart. Difmark asks 10.49 euros for an Account. The Microsoft Store in Spain asks € for an Xbox Series Key that redeems on your own profile. Nothing sits between them: no reseller shaving two euros off Microsoft, no third store at all.
PlayStation cut its own price in half
The PS5 page also holds exactly two offers, and the interesting one belongs to Sony. The PlayStation Store spent two months at 39.99 euros and now asks € for a PSN Key. That is an official cut rather than a weekend promotion at one shop, and cuts like that tend to still be there next month.
The other offer is Difmark again, 14.99 euros for an Account. Five euros below the official code, with the same catch as on Xbox and less to show for it.
So the short version: on PC take the Steam Key at 12.50 euros, and every store with its format written beside the price is on buy Denshattack key. On console you are picking between the official 19.99 and somebody else's login, and the two pages are Denshattack! on Xbox and Denshattack! on PS5. If you would rather wait for the PC figure to move, the full series lives on the Denshattack! price page. Platinum will still be free whenever you get round to it.
