Fireshine Games has finally put numbers on Denshattack!: 150,000 copies sold and 300,000 players. Undercoders marked the occasion with a free update called Platinum, and it is already live. Nobody has said in public what Platinum actually adds, so take the figures and leave the guessing to the marketing department.
For anyone still making up their mind, the situation is simpler than it looks. Platinum costs nothing on all three platforms, so there is no version you unlock by paying more. That leaves only the question of where you buy the game, and the three pages we track have almost nothing in common.
Thirty offers on PC, two on each console
The PC page is comparing 30 live offers from 14 stores. Xbox has two offers. PS5 has two. On PC the shops undercut one another daily; on console there is nobody to undercut, so the official price is the price.
The other thing PC has that the consoles do not is a Steam verdict: Overwhelmingly Positive, 2,645 positive out of 2,699 reviews. Fifty-four people out of nearly 2,700 walked away unhappy. Neither the Xbox page nor the PS5 one carries a verdict, because Steam only scores the PC version, so a console buyer is leaning on the opinion of PC players.
The six cheapest PC offers are somebody else's account
Sort the PC page by price and the first six entries are all Steam Accounts, every one of them under 10.50 euros. Difmark opens at 7.99 euros, then four shops land on exactly the same 9.05 euros — Gamivo, Driffle, Kinguin and K4G — with G2A behind them at 10.07. Buy any of those and you are logging into a profile that belongs to someone else. The game never reaches your library, your hours and achievements pile up on a stranger's account, and one password change ends it.
Live, the cheapest Steam Account on the page is € (with coupon Gocdkeys). We quote it because it is the first figure you will see, not because any of us would spend money on it.
The first Steam code sits 7.49 euros under the official price
Past the accounts, the first genuine licence is Eneba's at 12.50 euros, Standard edition delivered as a Steam Key, and there are two offers at that same figure. Steam, Greenmangaming and Humble Bundle all want 19.99 for the identical product. As of now the cheapest Steam Key is € (with coupon GCDK13) at Gameboost.
From there the page goes up in small steps: Kinguin at 12.74 and 12.75, Gameboost at 13.25, CDKeys at 13.89, Gamivo at 14.27, GamesPlanet at 15.51, G2A at 16.20 and 16.26, K4G at 16.37 and 17.75. Then a pair of Steam Gifts from K4G and G2A at 18.15 and 18.22, and Difmark Digital Keys at 19.18. Past the official 19.99 there are four more Steam Gifts between 20.58 and 21.15 — a present that costs more than buying the game from Valve.
Our own record for the PC version holds 782 measurements, and the lowest figure anywhere in it is 7.29 euros. The last two monthly lows, 7.29 and 7.82, sit in the same band as today's 7.99 Steam Account, which tells you what kind of offer normally holds the floor here. The number worth carrying around is the monthly average: 13.22, then 13.04. Against that, 12.50 for a Steam Key is a good day and not a record, and Valve has not moved off 19.99 in months.
On Xbox there is no middle ground
Two offers, about as far apart as two offers get. Difmark asks 10.49 euros for an Account. The Microsoft Store in Spain asks € for an Xbox Series Key that redeems on your own profile. In between: nothing. No reseller shaving a couple of euros off Microsoft, no third store at all.
PlayStation cut its own price in half
The PS5 page also holds exactly two offers, and the interesting one is Sony's. The PlayStation Store spent two months at 39.99 euros and now asks € for a PSN Key. That is an official cut, not a weekend promotion at one shop, and cuts of that kind usually survive into next month.
The other offer is Difmark again, 14.99 euros for an Account. Five euros under the official code, with the same catch as on Xbox and rather less to show for it.
So, briefly: on PC take the Steam Key at 12.50 euros, and every store with its format written beside the price is on buy Denshattack key. On console the choice is the official 19.99 or somebody else's login, and the two pages are Denshattack! on Xbox and Denshattack! on PS5. If you would sooner wait for the PC figure to move, the full series lives on the Denshattack! price page. Platinum will still be free whenever you get round to it.
