Already own Dead as Disco? Then you don't need to do anything: the Dahlia update, which Brain Jar Games released on 29 September, is free, and it's the biggest the game has had since it entered early access. If you don't own it yet, the cheapest keys are about €13 with fees today. That's close to half the Steam price, but a lot more than the game has usually cost from key stores.
A beat 'em up that runs on the beat
Dead as Disco is a rhythm brawler with a roguelite structure. Every punch, kick and combo lands in time with the music. Brain Jar Games both develops and publishes it, and it's been in early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store since 5 May. It has passed 500,000 players, and Steam reviews are Overwhelmingly Positive: 96% of 12,566 (12,063 positive).
Dahlia and The Nightshade
The main addition is a new story level built around Dahlia, the antagonist, a former pianist and dancer. It takes place in The Nightshade, part nightclub and part botanical garden, and ends in a boss fight with several phases.
Dahlia comes with her own skill tree, which includes a dodge called "Phantom Dance" and an explosion called the "pyroette".
Flamecho, burning and new arenas
There's a new enemy, the Flamecho, and a new Burn status that deals damage over time in sync with the music. You also get two new arenas and eight new challenges, plus Dahlia cosmetics, new memories for Charlie (the protagonist), dance moves, missions and dialogue.
Five tracks, and Infinite Disco learns your songs
The new music: "La Pantera" in both a Radio Edit and a Boss Remix, "Sugar and Spice", "Suavemente" and "Kumbala". Infinite Disco now detects the BPM of your own songs automatically, adds new enemy options and gets a trigger for switching arenas.
Resellers against Steam this morning
Steam is asking €23.79, its standard price. It has dropped to €19.03 (20% off) a few times, at launch, in June and in August, but there's no sale on today.
We're tracking 39 offers across 18 stores. The four cheapest Steam Keys are within 22 cents of each other once fees are added:

Cdkeys has it for €14.39 (no fees), also a Steam Key. With fees included, G2A saves you 45% on Steam. Eneba sells the Superfan Edition bundle, the game plus extras, from €17.76 with the coupon Gocdkeys10 (€19.83 with fees), Steam Key.
You'll also see a Steam Account at Driffle for €8.02 with the coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€8.71 with fees). That's a shared account belonging to someone else, so the game isn't yours.
Why we'd hold off
Here's the problem. In our history (store prices, no fees or coupons) the key hit €6.67 on 18 May, and its median is €7.77. Key prices have gone up since August, and today's cheapest offers sit at around €12 to €13 before fees. That's more than one and a half times the median.
So we'd wait: set a price alert and let it tell you when keys come back down. If you'd rather play the Dahlia level tonight, it's still much cheaper than Steam, and the offers are on the page to buy Dead as Disco key.
