Jurassic World Evolution 2 costs €59.99 (no fees) on the Microsoft Store. The Xbox Key at Gamivo is €12.27 with coupon GCDKGamivo (€13.69 with fees), which is €46.30 less and the biggest gap among the fourteen city builders in this guide. Cities: Skylines follows: €39.99 on the Microsoft Store, €10.50 with coupon GCKG2AN7C5E (€10.79 with fees) as a key at G2A.
We picked games that have an Xbox page on Gocdkeys with live offers and that players rate well. The review scores are the Steam ones, for the PC version, since that's where the most reviews pile up. Half of the fourteen are cheaper than usual in key form today. Four cost more than they normally do, and for those we'll tell you to wait.
Which format should you buy on Xbox?
An Xbox Key is a code you redeem on your own Microsoft account. A PC / Xbox Key works the same way, but the game also runs on Windows with no extra purchase (that's Xbox Play Anywhere). An Account is the login to someone else's Microsoft account that already owns the game. For all fourteen games an account is the cheapest thing on sale, and we mention it when the gap is worth knowing about, but we'd always go for the key: the game ends up on your account and stays there.
Microsoft Store prices are from the Spanish store and never carry fees. Medians and historical lows are quoted without fees.
Cities, provinces and small islands
Cities: Skylines
If you've only ever heard of one modern city builder, it's probably this. In Cities: Skylines by Colossal Order you zone land, lay roads, sort out water and power, and then spend hours fixing the traffic you created. Very Positive on Steam, 90% of 226,204 reviews, more than any other game here.
The cheapest key is an Xbox Key at G2A for €10.50 with coupon GCKG2AN7C5E (€10.79 with fees), against €39.99 on the Microsoft Store. That's €29.20 less, but the key usually costs around €7.88 (median), so today it's 33% above normal. A shared account at Difmark goes for €2.69 with coupon Gocdkeys (€2.81 with fees); we'd rather set a price alert for Cities: Skylines and wait for the key to drop.
Anno 117: Pax Romana
Ubisoft Mainz moved the series to ancient Rome for Anno 117: Pax Romana, which came out in November last year. It's still Anno: production chains, trade, and a population that keeps asking for more as it grows. It's also the lowest-rated game here, Mixed on Steam with 69% of 12,194 reviews positive.
That said, the key has never been cheaper. Eneba sells the Xbox Key for €32.72 with coupon Gocdkeys10 (€36.08 with fees), 14% under its median of €38.17. The Microsoft Store asks €59.99, so you save €23.91.
ISLANDERS: New Shores
ISLANDERS: New Shores strips the genre down to almost nothing: you place buildings on an island and score points depending on what's around them. No money, no traffic. It has the best score in this guide, Overwhelmingly Positive, 96% of 1,233 reviews.
The bad news is the price. The only key is the Microsoft Store's, €9.99 (no fees), and in the fourteen days we've been tracking it, it was cheaper on every one of them. Difmark has an account at €4.19 with coupon Gocdkeys (€4.38 with fees). Not the moment to buy.
Building to survive
Frostpunk 2
11 bit studios' sequel keeps the frozen city and the hard choices. Frostpunk 2 puts more weight on politics: factions that want different things and laws you have to get through. On Steam it's Mostly Positive, 74% of 20,922 reviews.
Gamivo has the Xbox Key at €29.47 with coupon GCDKGamivo (€31.50 with fees), 12% under the €33.49 median. The Microsoft Store charges €44.99. It dipped to €17.42 on 7 July, so if you're not in a hurry, keep an eye on it.
They Are Billions
A steampunk colony, walls, and hordes of zombies that will find the one gap you forgot. They Are Billions, from Numantian Games, is as much about defence as about building. Very Positive, 85% of 46,240 reviews.
Driffle sells the Xbox Key for €9.23 with coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€9.96 with fees). It's 20% under its usual price (median €11.49) and €20.03 less than the Microsoft Store's €29.99.
Northgard
Viking clans landing on a new island and fighting winter as much as each other. Northgard by Shiro Games sits halfway between city builder and strategy game. On Steam the reviews are for Northgard: Definitive Edition: Very Positive, 85% of 54,485.
The Xbox Key at Kinguin costs €14.40 with coupon SEPGOC10 (€15.90 with fees), 11% under its €16.09 median, while the Microsoft Store wants €34.99.
The Wandering Village
Here the city walks. In The Wandering Village, by Stray Fawn Studio, your village is built on the back of Onbu, a giant creature that keeps moving, and you have to look after it as well as your villagers. Very Positive, 91% of 7,749 reviews.
Of all the prices in this guide, this is the one we like most. The PC / Xbox Key at Driffle is €12.57 with coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€13.42 with fees), 26% below its €17.10 median, and in 109 days it has only been cheaper once. Short runs with a roguelite twist
Against the Storm
Eremite Games built Against the Storm around short games: you found a town, keep it going under a rain that never stops (the Blightrain), and then start another one. Hooded Horse publishes it. Very Positive, 94% of 33,329 reviews.
Timing is bad today. Cdkeys Com sells the PC / Xbox Key for €13.09 (no fees), well under the €29.99 on the Microsoft Store, but 19% above its usual €10.99, and it has been as low as €3.99 (12 July). An account at Difmark is €5.87 with coupon Gocdkeys (€6.13 with fees). We'd go with a price alert for Against the Storm.
The King is Watching
The idea behind The King is Watching: your kingdom only produces where the king is looking. It's a management roguelite by Hypnohead, published by tinyBuild. Very Positive, 88% of 9,083 reviews.
It's also the game where the store saves you least. Eneba has the PC / Xbox Key for €12.10 with coupon Gocdkeys10 (€13.68 with fees), and the Microsoft Store sells it for €14.99, just €1.31 more. We only have fifteen days of history, so we can't tell you yet what a good price looks like.
Hospitals, museums, zoos and a prison
Two Point Hospital
Two Point Studios' Two Point Hospital is the spiritual heir to Theme Hospital: you build rooms, hire staff and cure silly illnesses, like the patients who turn up with a light bulb for a head. Very Positive, 92% of 26,648 reviews.
Wait on this one. The cheapest key is an Xbox Key at Difmark Digital Keys for €21.45 with coupon Gocdkeys (€22.42 with fees), 78% above its €12.07 median; its low is €11.33. The Microsoft Store is €29.99. Difmark's account costs €6.89 with coupon Gocdkeys (€7.20 with fees), but it's still someone else's account.
Two Point Museum
Same studio, same humour, now with exhibits. In Two Point Museum you set up the rooms, keep visitors happy and send staff on expeditions to bring back new pieces. Overwhelmingly Positive, 95% of 9,673 reviews.
Gamivo sells the Xbox Key for €21.74 with coupon GCDKGamivo (€23.49 with fees), close to its €23.09 median. The Microsoft Store charges €29.99. It was €14.45 on 22 June.
Planet Zoo
Planet Zoo is Frontier Developments' zoo builder: habitats you shape piece by piece and animals whose welfare you need to watch closely. Very Positive, 90% of 81,227 reviews.
G2A has the Xbox Key at €18.71 (€19.00 with fees), which is a normal price for it. The low was €7.41 on 22 August. We don't have a Microsoft Store price on our page.
Jurassic World Evolution 2
Also from Frontier, Jurassic World Evolution 2 hands you a dinosaur park and everything that goes wrong in one: fences, escapes, visitors. Very Positive, 90% of 39,670 reviews.
This is the biggest saving against the Microsoft Store: €12.27 with coupon GCDKGamivo (€13.69 with fees) for the Xbox Key at Gamivo, against €59.99. Still, the key usually sits around €6.69 (median) and got down to €2.09 in February, so today it's 83% above normal. The shared account at Difmark costs €2.89 with coupon Gocdkeys (€3.02 with fees). A price alert for Jurassic World Evolution 2 makes more sense.
Prison Architect
You design the cells, the canteen and the yard, then try to stop it all going up in flames. Prison Architect is by Introversion Software, published by Paradox. Very Positive, 86% of 61,939 reviews.
It's the cheapest game here: Instant Gaming sells the Xbox Key for €6.59 (no fees), 13% under its €7.59 median. The Microsoft Store asks €24.99.

Which one first, depending on your budget?
With less than €30 you can take three home right now: Prison Architect at €6.59 (no fees), They Are Billions at €9.23 with coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€9.96 with fees) and The Wandering Village at €12.57 with coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€13.42 with fees). That's €29.97 with fees, and all three are below their usual price.
If you want something bigger, Northgard at €14.40 with coupon SEPGOC10 (€15.90 with fees) and Frostpunk 2 at €29.47 with coupon GCDKGamivo (€31.50 with fees) are both cheaper than usual. Anno 117 at €32.72 with coupon Gocdkeys10 (€36.08 with fees) is the most expensive here, but its key has never been cheaper.
And the four we'd hold off on: Cities: Skylines, Against the Storm, Two Point Hospital and Jurassic World Evolution 2. All four are cheaper than on the Microsoft Store, but they've been much cheaper than today, so an alert is the smarter move. The same goes for ISLANDERS.
