If you've been holding off on Bloodlines 2 until it was finished, you can stop waiting. Both story DLCs are out, Paradox has nothing else planned, and the Premium edition with all of it costs €29.99 (no fees), Steam Key, at Instant Gaming. That's what Steam was asking for the Standard edition alone during its half-price sale last week.
On 27 September other price sites reported that PC keys had dropped below half the Steam price. We checked, and they're right: this morning we're tracking 50 offers across 20 stores, and the cheapest Standard is under €25. What they left out is which edition to pick now that the story content is complete.
Three editions, and only one adds more game
Bloodlines 2 is by The Chinese Room and published by Paradox Interactive. It came out in October last year, and there are three versions:
- Standard: the base game.
- Deluxe, listed in stores as "Unsanctioned": adds Santa Monica Memories, a cosmetic pack of decorations for your haven inspired by the original Bloodlines.
- Premium, listed as the "Blood Moon Edition": everything in the Deluxe plus the Expansion Pass with both story DLCs. Loose Canon came out on 27 April. The Flower & The Flame followed on 10 June, with four new missions played as Ysabella Moore, the Toreador primogen of Seattle.
When The Flower & The Flame came out, Paradox said the roadmap was done. No further DLC has been announced, so the Premium is the whole game.

Cdkeys' €24.59 is the lowest that store has charged for the game since April, when it was somewhere between €26.69 and €28.29. For reference, the historical median for the key is €27.19 (store prices, without fees or coupons). Instant Gaming sells the Standard for €28.29 (no fees), Steam Key, so its Premium costs only €1.70 more than its own base game.
K4G also has the Premium, at €30.04 with the coupon GCDK14DEAL (€32.99 with fees), but Instant Gaming is cheaper without any code. Skip the Deluxe: Cdkeys charges €33.89 (no fees), Steam Key, for its Premium too, so you'd be paying the same and leaving the DLCs behind.
Is there any reason to pay €59.99?
Not really. Steam ran its 50% sale from 15 to 22 September, and since the 23rd the Standard is back to €59.99 there, the same as at Greenmangaming and GamersGate.
At the other end, Difmark sells a Steam Account for €14.27 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€14.91 with fees). That logs you into someone else's Steam account that already owns the game. You never own it yourself, and the key you'd keep costs less than €10 more.
A Mixed reception on Steam
This is the part to weigh before you spend anything. Steam users rate it Mixed: 54% of 10,580 reviews are positive (5,713). Read a few recent reviews first, especially if you're coming to it as a fan of the first game.
What we'd do
If you've already decided you want Bloodlines 2, get the Premium at €29.99 (no fees) from Instant Gaming and have both story DLCs from the start. If you only want to find out whether it's for you, the Standard at €24.59 (no fees) from Cdkeys is enough. Every store is on our page to buy Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 key.
