Moonlighter's PC page does something pages very rarely do. The cheapest offer on it, at €0.86, is not the plain version of the game: it is the Complete Edition, the one with the Between Dimensions expansion already inside. The Standard costs €0.91. And the expansion, bought on its own, costs €1.04.
Buy more, pay less. The rest of this is the detail of where and why.
The Complete Edition costs five cents less than the Standard
Gamivo opens the page with a Complete key for the Global region at €0.86. Kinguin's Global Standard sits right behind at €0.91, then a second Complete from Kinguin at €0.99 and a K4G Standard for Europe at the same figure. After that: Kinguin's Europe Complete at €1.06, Instant Gaming and Gamivo both at €1.09 for a Standard, Eneba at €1.16, Kinguin's Europe Standard at €1.19, Gamivo's Europe Complete at €1.22, Driffle at €1.26 and the CDKeys Complete at €1.39.
Five of the twelve cheapest offers carry the Complete label, and they sit mixed in among the Standard copies instead of above them. Nobody planned that. On a resale page the figure comes from whatever stock each seller happens to be holding, and eight years after the game went on sale on 29 May there is no official rate card left for anyone to respect.
Buying the expansion on its own costs more than buying both
Between Dimensions has a page of its own, 13 live offers, cheapest at €1.04. Set that beside the €0.86 Complete and the sums fall over: the pack containing the base game and the expansion costs 18 cents less than the expansion by itself. Kinguin's €0.99 Complete undercuts it too.
The only reader for whom the standalone expansion is the right purchase is someone who already owns Moonlighter and does not fancy a second copy of it. Everyone else can skip that page.

Steam asks €1.99, and nineteen offers come in below it
The page holds 55 offers from 24 stores, and Valve's own €1.99 for the Standard lands twentieth. Nineteen keys undercut it: the ones already named, plus G2A at €1.42, Eneba's Europe Standard at €1.53, the Gameseal Complete at €1.55, Driffle's Europe Standard at €1.57, CDKeys at €1.59, Gamivo's Europe Standard at €1.64 and YUPLAY at €1.82.
Region still counts at this kind of money. Eneba lists a Complete for the United States at €2.12 and a US Standard at €4.56; both cost more than the Global copies above them, and neither will redeem on a European account. Same for G2A's Steam Gifts at €3.02 for the US and €3.02 for the UK. A gift arrives from the seller's account, with a friend request and a wait for the transfer; a key you type in yourself and the game is yours.
At the top of the page the numbers change scale: Playerland €17.99, Green Man Gaming €19.99, GamersGate €19.99 for the Standard and €24.28 for the Complete. That is the same Complete Edition Gamivo sells for €0.86. A few entries also sit there from stores that stopped refreshing their data months or years ago, and we leave those out of the reading, because the last figure we recorded from a shop is not what that shop is asking today.
The DRM-free version starts at €6.90
Moonlighter also sells as a GOG key, with no DRM and no launcher to keep open. Far fewer sellers work that side, and the prices show it: Eneba €6.90, Kinguin €7.01, Gamivo €7.15, K4G €9.40, G2A €9.84 and GamesPlanet €15.51. The entry point there is eight times the Global Complete for Steam.
Whether that is worth paying depends on what you do with your games. An installer that still runs in ten years without asking anyone's permission has a price, and here it is six euros.
Shopkeeping between dungeon runs, and 17,251 Steam reviews
Digital Sun built it, 11 bit studios published it. You run a store in a small town and you go down into the dungeon to stock it: fight, come back loaded, put the loot on the shelves and set the prices yourself. Ask too much and the customer walks out. Ask too little and they grin while they pay. That swing between the basement and the counter is why people still bring the game up eight years on.
Steam's verdict is Very Positive across 17,251 reviews. OpenCritic gathered 110 of them, 70 from top critics, with a median of 80, a top-critic average of 81.87 and 77.98% recommending it. The label it carries there is Strong.
Eight years of daily readings, and 47 cents above the record
We hold 3,848 readings of this page, the first one dated 29 May eight years ago, the day the game went on sale. The all-time low is €0.39, set on 19 August at Kinguin. There is not a single shared account here either, only keys, editions and Steam Gifts, so that floor belongs to a copy that stays in your own library.
Month by month the lows read €2.14 in April, off only three days of readings, then €2.00 in May and €2.08 in June. July broke that: €0.89, then €0.39 in August and €0.69 so far this month.
Since the record: €0.60 on 20 and 21 August, €0.57 on the 22nd, €0.73 on the 23rd and 24th, then €0.70, €0.66, €0.70, €0.69, €0.72, €0.86 on the 30th and €0.84 on the 31st. This month has gone €0.69, €0.79, €0.85, €0.84, €0.84, €0.86 and €0.86 today.
So today costs 47 cents more than the best day we have ever recorded, and the last three weeks have all landed between €0.39 and €0.86. Waiting here is an argument about loose change. If you want the version with the expansion inside it, buy Moonlighter key at €0.86 and be done.
