Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault drops the early access label this week, and the same day it turns up inside Game Pass. If your plan was to buy it outright, the price list on our page needs reading slowly: the two cheapest offers on it do not sell you a copy of the game.
Version 1.0 this week, Game Pass from day one
GG.deals put the 1.0 launch inside this week on 31 August. No exact day was attached to it, and we are not going to make one up. Two days earlier the confirmed Xbox Game Pass line-up for this month appeared with Moonlighter 2 on it from the first day, so anyone paying the subscription can start the finished version without buying anything.
Digital Sun built it, 11 bit studios publishes it. On Steam the verdict is Very Positive, 2,108 thumbs up out of 2,510 reviews, 84%. Every one of those was written about the early access build, so treat them as a read on the shop-by-day, dungeon-by-night loop rather than on the version that ships now.
The 9.99 euro offer hands you someone else's login
Difmark asks 9.99 € and Kinguin 11.23 €, and both of those say Steam Account next to the price. You are paying for the username and password of a profile that belongs to another person, with the game already sitting in their library. You do not add it to yours.
What that means in practice: you cannot change the password, the hours you put in are logged on their account, the achievements stay there too, and the day the owner decides to take the profile back you have nothing.
What you still have six months from now
Three labels show up next to the prices on this game, and they end very differently once the payment goes through.
A code is the straightforward one. You redeem it yourself on Steam, Moonlighter 2 lands in your library under your name, and nobody else can pull it back. A Steam Gift is the middle case: another account sends you the game as a present, it does end up in your library, but the delivery depends on that seller finishing the transfer. On this page the gift is also the most expensive thing on offer at 37.46 €, which is 7.47 € more than paying Valve directly.
Twenty-four PC offers, and where the real ones start
Right now we count 24 live offers across 17 stores, from 9.99 € to 37.46 €. Skip the two accounts and the first thing you can actually redeem is G2A at 14.89 €, exactly half of the 29.99 € Steam asks for the same game. Eneba follows at 15.04 €, Instant Gaming at 16.69 €, and from GreenManGaming upwards you are already paying the official price.

Console is thinner. On PS5 there are two offers and nothing in between: Difmark at 23.99 €, which is another borrowed account, and the PlayStation Store at 29.99 €. Nobody resells redeemable codes there.

The floor has not moved since July
We have 2,272 price readings on this game since 28 April. The cheapest it has ever been on our records is 6.82 €, in May and June. In July the bottom climbed to 9.99 € and stopped there: across all 31 days of August the lowest offer was 9.99 €, every single day, without a cent of movement.
That frozen number is the Difmark account, not a redeemable code, so the real floor for a copy you keep has been sitting several euros higher for two months. Games usually go up in price when they leave early access, and this one may well do the same, though nothing has been confirmed about it.
If you have Game Pass, play it there first and decide later. If you want it permanently, or you play somewhere the subscription does not reach, 14.89 € for a code is where the honest part of the list begins.
