Juliet Starling has a new outfit. Dragami Games has released the free "2nd Anniversary" update for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, which came out on 12 September two years ago, and it's already available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
A Party Dress and a new photo mode frame
There isn't much to it. Juliet gets the "Party Dress" costume, a white party dress, photo mode picks up a new frame, and the rest is assorted tweaks and improvements.
The news that came with it was more interesting. Dragami Games says RePOP has now sold more than 400,000 units, and a new Lollipop Chainsaw game is in development. It will be playable for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.
What RePOP is
RePOP is the revamped version of the original Lollipop Chainsaw from PS3 and Xbox 360. It's a hack and slash with a crude, cheerfully tasteless sense of humour: you play Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader and zombie hunter armed with a chainsaw, with the talking head of her boyfriend Nick hanging from her waist.
Steam reviews are Very Positive, 2,331 positive and 318 negative.
On PC, GOG is the cheapest way in
It's rare for an official store to beat every reseller, but that's the situation here. GOG sells RePOP for €26.50 as a GOG Key with no fees, and it's a DRM-free copy that's yours. Steam asks €44.99 for the Steam Key, no fees.
Nothing from the key stores gets close to GOG. G2A's cheapest offer is a shared Steam account at €34.76 with coupon GCKG2AU1M4D (€35.05 with fees): dearer than GOG, and somebody else's account on top of that. The Steam Gifts all cost more than Steam itself:

We read these prices on 13 September at 05:50 UTC, and they can change. Our history for the PC key, without fees, has a median of €26.99 and a low of €24.74, set a year ago on 11 September, so it rarely goes much below what GOG is charging now. If you're going to buy Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP key for PC, start with GOG.
Xbox, PS5 and Switch
Console prices are less friendly. On Xbox, the Microsoft Store in Spain charges €44.99 for the Xbox Key, and on PS5, PlayStation Store asks €44.99 for the PSN Key, both with no fees. For Switch, Amazon Germany has the physical copy at €38.49, no fees.
Difmark has cheaper shared accounts for all three, all with coupon Gocdkeys: €15.53 (€16.23 with fees) on Xbox, €31.91 (€33.35 with fees) on PS5 and €25.19 (€26.32 with fees) on Switch. You'd be playing on someone else's account, the game wouldn't be on your profile, and it can be taken away. If you want to keep it, the official stores or the Switch physical copy are the ones to buy.
