Juliet Starling has a new outfit. Dragami Games has put out the free "2nd Anniversary" update for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, two years to the day after the game arrived on 12 September, and it's live already on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
A Party Dress and a new photo mode frame
There isn't much to it. Juliet gets the "Party Dress" costume, which is exactly what it sounds like, photo mode picks up a new frame, and the rest is tweaks and small improvements.
The announcement that came with it matters more. Dragami Games says RePOP has now passed 400,000 units sold, and that a new Lollipop Chainsaw is in development. It will be playable for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.
What RePOP is
RePOP is the revamped version of the original Lollipop Chainsaw from PS3 and Xbox 360. It's a hack and slash with a crude, cheerfully tasteless sense of humour: you play Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader and zombie hunter armed with a chainsaw, with the talking head of her boyfriend Nick hanging from her waist.
Steam reviews are Very Positive, 2,331 positive and 318 negative.
On PC, GOG is the cheapest way in
An official store beating every reseller is unusual, and that's where we are today. GOG sells RePOP for €26.50 as a GOG Key with nothing added at the till, and what you get is a DRM-free copy nobody can switch off. Steam asks €44.99 for the Steam Key, also fee-free.
Nothing in the key stores comes near it. G2A's cheapest is a shared Steam account at €34.76 with coupon GCKG2AU1M4D (€35.05 with fees), which is dearer than GOG and somebody else's login into the bargain. The Steam Gifts all ask more than Steam does:

Those figures come from 05:50 UTC on 13 September and can change. Our history for the PC key, without fees, has a median of €26.99 and a low of €24.74, set a year ago on 11 September, so it almost never drops far below what GOG is charging right now. Xbox, PS5 and Switch
Console prices are less friendly. On Xbox, the Microsoft Store in Spain charges €44.99 for the Xbox Key, and on PS5, PlayStation Store asks €44.99 for the PSN Key, both with no fees. For Switch, Amazon Germany has the physical copy at €38.49, no fees.
Difmark undercuts all three with shared accounts, coupon Gocdkeys throughout: €15.53 (€16.23 with fees) on Xbox, €31.91 (€33.35 with fees) on PS5 and €25.19 (€26.32 with fees) on Switch. In every case you'd be playing on an account somebody else controls and can close. To keep the game, buy from the official stores, or get the Switch disc.
