Amazon has published the September Prime Gaming line-up, and the name most people will recognise is High on Life. It can be claimed on 24 September, and the copy that lands in your account is the Epic Games Store one.
That detail decides everything else. The cheap offers we track for this game are Steam Keys, and an Epic giveaway will never show up in a Steam library, never unlock a Steam achievement and never appear on your profile. If you have never cared which launcher opens, the free copy is all you need. If your collection lives on Steam, it is a different conversation.
Everything Prime hands out on 24 September
High on Life shares the date with Hue, also on Epic, and with The Da Vinci Cryptex through Legacy Games. It closes a month that had a drop every Thursday: on the 10th, Drop Duchy and Botany Manor on Epic plus DOOM and DOOM II on GOG; on the 17th, DOOM Eternal as a Microsoft code, Rims Racing on Epic and Wall World 2 inside the Amazon Games app.
Five different storefronts in three weeks. Claim the lot and your games end up scattered across half the internet.
Free on Epic or €5.12 on Steam
Valve still asks €36.49 for High on Life, no fees on top. That is the number the giveaway is really competing with, and it is not the number anyone pays.
If Steam is where you want it, you can buy High on Life key for €5.12 with payment fees included — €4.83 base at G2A with the code GCKG2AU1M4D, Steam Key. Around €31 less than the store page, and roughly the price of a coffee and a pastry against a free copy tied to a launcher you may not use.

Read that list twice and you will see why we publish both figures. Gameseal has the lowest sticker price of the four and the highest total, because its payment fee on that listing is €0.76 while G2A adds €0.29.
Two stores skip the fee entirely: Allyouplay at €6.05 and CJS-CDKeys at €6.07, both Steam Key, both with nothing added at checkout. That is exactly what leaves your card, and it is under a euro more than the cheapest total on the list.

We have 264 days with a recorded price for High on Life. The median sits at €4.99 and the record low at €3.44 — both taken from key prices without payment fees, mixing formats, so don't line them up against the totals above.
Today's €4.83 base is about 3% under that median, and the game has been cheaper on 96 of those 264 days. Monthly floors run €4.59 in April, €4.59 in May, €4.93 in June, €3.89 in July, €4.06 in August and €4.94 so far this month. Holding out for another July dip is a bet for about one euro.
Gift and Bundle: the listings that quietly cost more
Of the 32 live offers, 24 are Steam Key, 6 are Steam Gift and 2 are Xbox Key. Twenty-eight are the Standard edition and four are flagged as Bundle.
A Steam Gift is a transfer, not a code you type in. G2A has one at €10.18 with fees (€9.89 base) for the same game the key sells at €5.12. The Bundle entries are packs rather than the standalone game, and the spread says it out loud: Allyouplay lists one at €7.90 with no fees, GamesPlanet another at €28.15 with no fees. Open the store page and check what is inside before you pay.
On console, the one Xbox Key worth naming is Eneba's, €30.80 with fees (€27.86 base, code Gocdkeys10).
Claim it or buy it?
On whether it is worth the fiver at all: Steam players rate it Very Positive, with 18,254 of 20,510 reviews on the thumbs-up side.
Launcher-agnostic and in no hurry: set a reminder for the 24th, claim it on Epic, spend nothing. Already deep into Steam, or you want the achievements and the friends-list activity: the Steam Key at €5.12 with fees is the shortest route, and our own series says the price will look the same next month.
The one thing not to do is pay €10.18 for a Gift or €28.15 for a pack you didn't read, on a game that has a €5 key sitting one line above it.
