Amplitude Studios took Endless Legend 2 out of early access on 17 September, almost a year after the 4X strategy game first went on sale in unfinished form. Version 1.0 also widened the audience in one go: Hooded Horse, the publisher, released it the same day on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while on PC it is sold through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store.
Steam marked the occasion by halving the price, from €49.99 to €24.99, until 30 September. We went through our own prices on the morning of the 21st. That discount is decent, but it is not the lowest Steam price we have on record, and it is not the cheapest way to get the game on PC either. On consoles there is much less to go on.
What 1.0 adds: the Sandshapers and two minor factions
The main addition is a new major faction, the Sandshapers, who terraform the map and turn whole regions into desert. Two new minor factions arrive alongside them.
The Steam page shows "Very Positive", with 83% of 2,724 reviews in favour. Every one of those reviews comes from PC, which is also the only version that went through the whole early access period. The console releases start without that track record.
Half price on Steam, and still €1.20 above May
We have followed the Steam price since 28 April (shop price, no fees). For 79 days of that it sat at €49.99, including all of August and right up to 16 September. It only moved three times:
- €23.79 from 8 May to 10 June, during an early access sale.
- €29.99 from 26 June to 24 July.
- €24.99 since 17 September, the launch discount running now.
In other words, anyone who bought in May or early June paid €1.20 less than Steam asks today. The current sale is still a fair price, but it would be wrong to call it the best the game has had. After 30 September it should go back to €49.99 unless another sale comes along.
A Steam copy of your own for €17.45 with fees
The PC page holds 31 offers this morning. Sorted by what you actually pay once fees are added, the first three are not keys:
- G2A: €8.70 with the coupon GCKG2AH9K2L (€8.99 with fees), Steam Account.
- Kinguin: €8.78 with the coupon SEPGOC10 (€9.83 with fees), Steam Account.
- Difmark: €9.48 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€9.91 with fees), Steam Account.
A Steam Account gives you the login to a shared account that already has the game on it. All three stay under €10 with fees, but the licence never reaches your own library and you depend on an account somebody else controls.
The keys start right after:
- Gamivo: €15.90 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€17.45 with fees), Steam Key, Europe region.
- Gamivo: €15.94 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€17.49 with fees), Steam Key, Global.
- Driffle: €16.51 with the coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€17.51 with fees), Steam Key, Global.
- K4G: €16.00 with the coupon GCDK14DEAL (€17.76 with fees), Steam Key, Global.
- G2A: €17.59 with the coupon GCKG2AH9K2L (€17.88 with fees), Steam Key, Global.
- Kinguin: €16.37 with the coupon SEPGOC10 (€18.02 with fees), Steam Key, Global.
Gamivo's Europe key comes in €7.54 under Steam's €24.99, roughly 30% less. It even beats the €23.79 Steam charged in May, and Steam never adds fees on top. If your Steam account was not created in Europe, the Global key from the same shop costs four cents more.
Humble Bundle sells the key at €24.99 (no fees), the same as Steam, and Greenmangaming asks €25.00 (no fees). Neither saves you anything. Every shop above is on the product page, where you can buy Endless Legend 2 key with the coupon already shown.
Xbox has a single offer
For the Xbox version we have exactly one: Gamivo at €35.95 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€38.20 with fees), a "PC / Xbox Key" for the Europe region.
That is €13.21 more than Steam's sale price and €20.75 more than the cheapest PC key, both counted with fees. One shop means no competition, and the price reflects it. If you want to play on Xbox, set a price alert on the Xbox page and let other shops catch up.
On PS5 we have nothing to show you: no product page and no prices. We would rather say so than guess at the PlayStation Store figure.

If either platform suits you, PC is the obvious choice: the cheapest key costs less than half the only Xbox offer, and it is the only version that went through the whole early access. We know nothing concrete about how the console versions play, so we are judging on price alone.
The one date to keep in mind is 30 September. Until then, Steam at €24.99 is a clean alternative if you prefer buying from Valve directly. Should it go back to €49.99, the gap to the cheapest key widens to €32.54. For the lowest price today, buy Endless Legend 2 key from Gamivo.
