VOID/BREAKER comes out of Early Access on 4 November, and a Steam Key for it costs €10.59 (no fees) at Cdkeys Com this morning. That is about as low as we have seen it. The roguelite shooter comes from Stubby Games, a studio that is in fact one person, Daniel Stubbington (The Entropy Centre), and Playstack publishes it.
What changes on 4 November
Until now the game has only been on PC. Version 1.0 adds PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, puts it on the Microsoft Store as well as Steam, and brings it to Game Pass on launch day, on console and PC.
The cheapest copy today is close to its low
Cdkeys Com's €10.59 (no fees), Steam Key, is 44% less than Steam, which currently asks €18.89 (no fees).
The only thing below it is an account: Difmark at €8.39 with coupon Gocdkeys (€8.77 with fees), Steam Account. An account does not put the game in your library. You play on a profile that belongs to someone else and can lose it the moment the password changes.
How the price has moved since the summer
All figures from our history are without fees or coupons. The lowest key we have recorded was €8.44 on 27 June, and in early July one went for €10.39. On 24 August Steam raised the game from €17.99 to €26.99, and keys crept up behind it: through September the cheapest sat between €10.60 and €10.90. Today's €10.59 is below that and 26% under the €14.39 a key for it usually costs in the stores we track. In 208 days of tracking, it has only been cheaper on 18.
Steam's own €18.89 is a 30% discount on that new €26.99. We do not know when it ends.
A soundtrack for Steam buyers until launch
Buy the game on Steam before 4 November and you get the Supporter's Pack free, with the official soundtrack by Joe Ford. Early Access owners receive it automatically. The announcements only mention purchases on Steam, so we cannot promise that a key from another store, activated on Steam, unlocks it too.
Game Pass and consoles
Game Pass subscribers can simply wait, since the game is included from day one. For PS5 and Xbox we only list accounts so far, the cheapest at Key4Games for €12.13 with coupon GOCDKEYS7 (€12.88 with fees), Account. No console keys yet.
Is it worth buying before 1.0?
If you were going to buy it anyway, waiting for launch is unlikely to save you much: €10.59 is within a few cents of the July low, and the official price is now higher than it was during most of Early Access. A deeper drop to the June level is possible, but nothing says it will happen. If you prefer to gamble on it, set a price alert. If the free soundtrack is what you are after, buying on Steam itself is the only route the announcement guarantees.
Steam user reviews of the Early Access version are Very Positive, 91% of about 2,500. You can compare every store on the page to buy VOID/BREAKER key, and there are more resellers listed under our other VOID/BREAKER page.
Prices checked on the morning of 4 October.
