The concert tour that grew out of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is back with 24 new dates announced. That is all we can tell you about it — no cities, no ticket prices, nothing else we would stand behind — but it does explain why the PC page has people on it again this week. And if you have landed there anyway, the question worth answering is which edition to take home, and what the number sitting at the top of the page actually is.
It is not a copy of the game. That is the short version.
The four cheapest offers are logins, not copies
Sorted from cheap to expensive, the page opens with a shared Steam account from Difmark at €6.88, and then three more of exactly the same kind: K4G at €13.75, Kinguin at €15.49 and G2A at €16.56. A fifth one turns up further down the page, a shared account carrying the Deluxe edition, from K4G at €31.52.
Buying one of those means signing into a Steam account somebody else owns. The game never reaches your own library, there is no code to redeem, and the password stays under the seller’s control for as long as he feels like leaving it alone. We keep them on the page because they are genuinely for sale and a fair number of people want them with their eyes open. What you should not do is walk out of here believing this game costs €6.88.
Skip the accounts and it starts at €17.33
The cheapest offer that ends up in your own library is a Standard Steam key from K4G at €17.33, valid Global and Europe, with our GCDK14DEAL coupon already counted in. Behind it: LDShop at €17.53, Gamivo at €17.82, Eneba at €18.00 for Europe and €18.09 for Global, Driffle at €18.41, Kinguin at €18.62, CDKeys at €20.09, CJS-CDKeys at €20.81 and G2A at €23.10. Seventy-nine live offers across twenty-eight stores, and those first ten Standard keys all fit inside six euros of each other.
Steam sells that same Standard edition on its own store page for €49.48. So the resale key lands 65% under the official figure, which is a wide gap for a game this recent with reviews this good. The licensed retailers stay much closer to Steam: Humble Bundle asks €39.99 for the Standard, GamesPlanet €40.08, Fanatical €43.89, and GamersGate and Greenmangaming both stop at €49.99.
Deluxe from €24.30, and seven euros is the entire argument
Kinguin has the cheapest Deluxe Steam key at €24.30 for Europe. Then Eneba Europe at €28.68, Instant Gaming at €29.39, Gamivo at €29.46, CDKeys at €29.49, Driffle at €32.32, Eneba Global at €32.40, Kinguin Global at €32.41, CJS-CDKeys at €34.97 and G2A at €35.00. On the licensed side GOG sells a Deluxe of its own at €46.50, which is the GOG build rather than a Steam copy, GamesPlanet wants €48.09, and Allyouplay, GamersGate and Greenmangaming all sit at €59.99.
So €6.97 is what separates the two cheapest keys on the whole page. Where a shop sells both editions at list price the same step costs a round €10.00 — GamersGate and Greenmangaming go from €49.99 to €59.99 — and the resale market has squashed it to under seven. Look at the Deluxe next to Steam and it gets stranger still: €24.30 is a shade under half of what Steam charges for the plain Standard.

What we are not going to tell you about the Deluxe
We do not hold the contents of the Deluxe edition in our database, and we are not about to describe extras we cannot check. Treat the name as a label and buy on the figure in front of you. Seven euros for a maybe is a small bet, and at that distance most people who are curious will take it; if the extra content means nothing to you, the €17.33 Standard key is the whole purchase and there is nothing else on the page you need.
One more format deserves naming, mostly so you can walk past it. The cheapest Steam Gift is G2A at €27.88. A gift comes out of the seller’s own account, which means a friend request, a waiting period and a region that has to line up, and it costs €10.55 more than a Standard key that redeems in half a minute. There is no version of that trade that makes sense here.

Steam’s verdict on this one is Overwhelmingly Positive, and the sample behind it is unusually big: 172,235 positive out of 181,300, which is 95% of everybody who wrote anything at all. Plenty of pages in our catalogue carry a high ratio; very few carry it on that many reviews. Sandfall Interactive made it, Kepler Interactive published it, and it went on sale in April last year, which is why the resale market has had time to settle this far below the store price.
The decision, then, is a seven-euro one. buy Clair Obscur Expedition 33 key in its Standard form at €17.33 if you only want the game, or pay €24.30 for the Deluxe and accept that the extras are a label you are trusting. Either way the trick is the same: scroll past the first four numbers, because none of them is a copy that stays yours.
