Steam has an odd price on Little Nightmares III this week. The Deluxe Edition is 42% off, down from €59.99 to €34.79, until 1 October. The Standard Edition hasn't moved from €39.99. So for a few more days, the bigger edition on Steam costs €5.20 less than the base game.
That's a good deal by Steam's standards. It isn't the cheapest way to get the game, though, and which edition makes sense depends on whether you care about the extra content.
What the Deluxe Edition adds
On top of the base game you get:
- Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass, which includes two additional chapters. Sold separately on Steam for €14.99.
- Residents Costumes Pack, €9.99 on its own.
- The Backstage, €7.99 on its own.
- Ferryman Costumes Set.
The pass is the only part that adds more game. The rest is cosmetic, plus The Backstage.
Steam against resellers: the prices side by side

For the Deluxe, G2A is right behind at €24.41 with the coupon GCKG2AN7C5E (€24.70 with fees), and Instant Gaming has it for €24.99 (no fees), both Steam Key. On the Standard side, Gamivo asks €13.04 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€14.49 with fees), Steam Key.
Even with the Steam sale on, the Deluxe key works out around €10 cheaper. And when the sale ends on 1 October and Steam goes back to €59.99, key prices won't follow, because they never depended on that discount.
You'll also see a Steam Account at Difmark for €9.06 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€9.47 with fees). That's a shared account, not a copy on your own profile. We wouldn't bother; take the key. The Xbox Key at Eneba (€22.49 with the coupon Gocdkeys10, €24.97 with fees) is for Xbox only and won't activate on Steam.
Is the Deluxe worth it over the Standard?
Do the maths with the pass. A Standard key at €14.18 plus the Expansion Pass bought later on Steam at €14.99 comes to €29.17. The Deluxe key costs €24.59 and throws in the costumes and The Backstage as well. If you know you want the extra chapters, the Deluxe is the cheaper route by about €4.60.
If you only want the main story, it's simpler: the Standard key at €14.18 with fees, against €39.99 on Steam.
How players have received it
We'd rather be upfront here. Steam's verdict is "Mixed": 46% of reviews are positive (4,692 out of 10,200). It's by Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco, came out last October on PC and consoles, and follows Low and Alone. You can play it in online co-op with a friend or on your own with an AI partner.
With a split reception like that, the cheap Standard is the safer bet if you're not sure. There's also a free trial on Steam and a Friend's Pass, which lets a friend join you in co-op without buying the game.
Is this the lowest price yet?
No. In our history for key stores (store prices, no fees or coupons), the lowest was €11.49 at Playerland in late June. This week the lowest store price has gone from €14.77 to €14.28, so it's moving down but still a few euros off that low. This morning we're tracking 58 offers across 22 stores.
