Bluey's Happy Snaps came out this week on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2, and it was in Game Pass from day one. If you'd rather own it, the official price this morning is €39.99 (no fees) on both Steam and the PlayStation Store. On Switch and Xbox the only offers in stock are accounts rather than codes, so read what that involves before you pay for one.
Dad's old camera and a scrapbook to fill
The game is made by Gameloft Brisbane, in the city where the show is set, together with Ludo Studio, who produce the cartoon, and BBC Studios. Gameloft publishes it. Bluey and Bingo get hold of Dad's old camera and wander around places from the series taking pictures of spots, animals and toys, which go into a scrapbook.
A second player can join on the same screen to explore and pose while the first one holds the camera, so a younger sibling or a parent can play along. There's no online play and nothing to buy inside the game. On Steam, Gameloft says voices in languages other than English will arrive in a free update shortly after launch, so for now some families may be playing with English audio and subtitles.
There's no Steam score yet: the store says it needs more user reviews before it can show one.
Already paying for Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass?
Then there's nothing to buy. It's included in those two plans, on Xbox and on Windows, for as long as you stay subscribed and the game stays in the catalogue, and nobody has said how long that will be. If you're on a cheaper Game Pass plan, it isn't included.
Buying a copy makes more sense if the family console is a PlayStation or a Switch, if you don't want a subscription running, or if your child is likely to keep coming back to the scrapbook for months.
PS5 and PC: €39.99 at the official stores
On PlayStation the cheapest code is the PlayStation Store's own: €39.99 (no fees) for the standard edition, a PSN Key. The store sells that edition for PS4 and PS5; we have no separate offer for the PS4 version at the moment. The price has barely moved since pre-orders. The lowest we've logged is €39.90, at the start of October, and like all our historical figures it's without fees.
You'll also see Key4Games at €21.67 with coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€22.90 with fees) in that list. That's an account, not a PSN code, so don't treat it as a cheaper copy of the same thing. We explain the difference below.
On PC, Steam is the only store selling it today, at €39.99 (no fees); no reseller has Steam keys yet. Steam also lists Family Sharing, so other members of your Steam family group can play it. If you're weighing up the editions, the Deluxe Edition adds Here Come the Grannies, where Janet and Rita from the show turn up on wheels, plus extra outfits and a digital art book. Steam has it on promotion until 21 October, which puts it only a few cents above the standard edition, so on PC that's the one to pick this week. On the PlayStation Store it still costs more than the standard edition.
Switch and Xbox: the only offers are accounts
There's no code in stock for Switch, Switch 2 or Xbox. On all three, the cheapest offer is the same Key4Games listing: €21.67 with coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€22.90 with fees), as an account.
Key4Games says so on its own product page: this isn't a digital key. Once you've paid, you send your order number through the site's chat and they give you the login for an account that already owns the game. You play on your console, but the game isn't on your account and isn't in your library, and if the seller ever takes that account back, the game goes with it. On a console your child uses, it also means adding an account you don't control next to the one where you've set up parental controls.
If you'd rather not do that, Amazon Germany has a boxed copy for Switch and Switch 2 at €39.99 (no fees). The Nintendo eShop and the Microsoft Store sell it too, though we don't track their prices for this game. On Xbox, anyone already on Game Pass Ultimate can simply download it.
Since the official price hasn't dropped yet, there's no rush unless it's for a birthday this week. Set a price alert for Bluey's Happy Snaps and we'll email you when it reaches the price you choose. Every PS5 offer, fees included, is on the page to buy Bluey's Happy Snaps key.
