We took every game Steam users have tagged «Cozy», matched them against the PS5 pages on Gocdkeys with offers updated this morning, and ended up with around forty. Ten made the cut. Anything with Mixed reviews is out, and so are a couple of well-known names you can't actually buy today; we explain those at the end.
The scores are Steam user reviews, so they describe the PC version. We don't have an equivalent player rating for PlayStation. Each table shows the cheapest account with fees next to the PlayStation Store price.
Account, PlayStation Store or disc: what each option gets you
On these ten games the gap between formats can be more than double, so check what you're looking at before you compare numbers.
- Account: you get the login for someone else's PlayStation account that already owns the game. You add it to your console and play, but the purchase never lands on your own account, and if the seller takes the account back, the game goes with it. Key4Games sells accounts for nine of the ten (all except Tales of the Shire) and is the cheapest on all nine, always with the coupon GOCDKEYS15. If you go this way, here's how to set up a PS5 account with a game on it.
- PlayStation Store: this morning no shop had PSN codes in stock for any of these ten, so the only way to own them digitally on your own account is to buy from Sony's store. Our comparison lists it as PSN Key, with no fees. That's the format we recommend, though for several of these games a price alert will save you more than buying today.
- Disc: Amazon France has the physical edition of Tales of the Shire at €18.14 (no fees), the cheapest price on that page in any format, and Hello Kitty Island Adventure at €19.99 (no fees).
Farming and village life: Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, Tales of the Shire and Hello Kitty
STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar is Marvelous's remake of the Nintendo DS game, published by XSEED. You move to Zephyr Town, whose bazaar used to be one of the busiest in the world and now sits half empty. You grow crops, raise animals, run your harvest through the town's windmills to turn it into something worth more, and once a week you set up a stall and sell. You get around by riding the wind with a glider, and you can marry and start a family if you want to. Very Positive, 93% of 3,193 reviews.
The format makes a big difference here: the Key4Games account costs €21.74 with GOCDKEYS15 (€22.97 with fees), while the PlayStation Store charges €49.99 (no fees).
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma comes from the same publisher and the sister series. On top of the farming and getting to know the villagers, you head out and fight monsters in real-time combat. This one is set in Azuma, a land with a Japanese feel. Very Positive, 88% of 2,987.
The PlayStation Store has it at €59.99 (no fees). In our price history for that store (without fees) it dropped to €19.99 on 16 May, and on every one of the 33 days we've recorded it was cheaper than it is now. The Key4Games account is €24.56 with GOCDKEYS15 (€25.92 with fees). If you want it on your own account, we wouldn't pay sixty euros: set a price alert for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma and we'll email you when it drops. These are this morning's offers:
And here's what customers say about those shops on Trustpilot:
- Difmark — 4.1 / 5 over 14,000+ reviews.
- Amazon DE — 1.6 / 5 over 19,000+ reviews.
- Amazon ES — 1.5 / 5 over 5,000+ reviews.
- Playstation Store — 1.2 / 5 over 2,000+ reviews.
In Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, made by Wētā Workshop and published by Fictions, you play a hobbit settling into Bywater. You tend the garden, fish, forage for fruit and herbs, decorate your home and cook, because sharing a meal is how friendships get made in the Shire. It has the lowest score in this guide: Very Positive, 81% of 3,267.
The disc wins on this one: €18.14 (no fees) at Amazon France against €34.99 (no fees) on the PlayStation Store, which in our history (without fees) went as low as €20.99 on 28 July.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure, by Sunblink, puts Hello Kitty and more than forty other Sanrio characters, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Badtz-Maru among them, on an island split into eight regions. You cook, craft, give each character gifts that suit their tastes and open up new areas as your friendships grow. There's multiplayer too, though online play on PS5 needs PlayStation Plus. Very Positive, 93% of 9,812.
The Key4Games account is €17.33 with GOCDKEYS15 (€18.37 with fees), the disc €19.99 (no fees) at Amazon France and the PlayStation Store €23.99 (no fees). For €1.62 more than the account, the disc is yours to lend or resell.

Wandering at your own pace: Little Kitty, Big City, TOEM and Snufkin
Little Kitty, Big City, from Double Dagger Studio, starts with a black cat waking up from a nap a long way from home, right in the middle of the city. Getting back is the obvious goal, but you're free to get sidetracked helping other animals, doing small favours or causing trouble for the fun of it, collecting hats as you go. Overwhelmingly Positive, 96% of 10,503.
This is the easiest call in the guide. The PlayStation Store has it at €12.49 (no fees), and in the 36 days we've tracked that store we've never seen it lower. The Key4Games account is €9.03 with GOCDKEYS15 (€9.69 with fees). With less than three euros in it, we'd buy from Sony. If you want to buy Little Kitty, Big City key, here are this morning's offers:
TOEM, by Something We Made, is a hand-drawn black-and-white photography adventure. You make progress by snapping people, animals and objects to solve requests and little riddles, meeting some properly odd characters along the way. It's the best-rated game on the list: Overwhelmingly Positive, 99% of 10,131.
Now is not the time to buy it on the PlayStation Store, which wants €19.99 (no fees) for a game we've seen there at €3.99 (without fees). The Key4Games account is €10.83 with GOCDKEYS15 (€11.57 with fees). We'd set a price alert for TOEM and wait.
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is developed by Hyper Games and published by Raw Fury. Snufkin, the Moomins' wandering musician, comes back to a valley full of parks and rules that have pushed nature out, and it's up to you to stand up to the park keepers and set things right. Music matters a lot here: the score is by Oda Tilset and features tracks by Sigur Rós. Overwhelmingly Positive, 97% of 3,437.
Like Little Kitty, it's at the lowest PlayStation Store price we've recorded: €11.99 (no fees), against €8.66 with GOCDKEYS15 (€9.30 with fees) for the Key4Games account.
| Game | Steam reviews (PC) | Cheapest account, with fees | PlayStation Store |

Tea, houseplants and LEGO bricks: Wanderstop, Leafy Corner and LEGO Voyagers
Wanderstop is from Ivy Road, the studio of The Stanley Parable's Davey Wreden, and published by Annapurna Interactive. Alta is a fighter who ends up, without quite knowing how, running a tea shop in an enchanted forest, and all she wants is to leave. You grow the ingredients, brew in a rather strange contraption and listen to the customers who drift in with their stories. There's no combat. Very Positive, 92% of 2,965.
It's €24.99 (no fees) on the PlayStation Store, which in our history (without fees) had it at €14.99 on 16 July. The Key4Games account costs €14.44 with GOCDKEYS15 (€15.34 with fees).
Leafy Corner, from Fireline Games, is the newest game here, out at the end of July. You run a plant shop stocked with over a hundred real houseplants, look after them as they grow and match each customer with the right one, even when they ask for something oddly specific. No timers, no staff to hire, no spreadsheets, and you decorate the shop however you like. Overwhelmingly Positive, 96% of 2,727.
It's also the cheapest: €9.99 (no fees) on the PlayStation Store, or €5.05 with GOCDKEYS15 (€5.53 with fees) for the Key4Games account.
LEGO Voyagers comes from Light Brick Studio, who made LEGO Builder's Journey, and is also published by Annapurna. It's a two-player puzzle platformer about two LEGO bricks that have to help each other along, which is why it also appears in our guide to the best local co-op games on PS5. Very Positive, 89% of 1,900.
Same prices as Wanderstop: €24.99 (no fees) on the PlayStation Store, where it was €14.99 (without fees) on 24 September, and €14.44 with GOCDKEYS15 (€15.34 with fees) for the account.
| Game | Steam reviews (PC) | Cheapest account, with fees | PlayStation Store |

| Wanderstop | Very Positive, 92% (2,965) | € (with coupon GOCDKEYS15) | €24.99 (no fees) |
| Leafy Corner | Overwhelmingly Positive, 96% (2,727) | € (with coupon GOCDKEYS15) | €9.99 (no fees) |
| LEGO Voyagers | Very Positive, 89% (1,900) | € (with coupon GOCDKEYS15) | €24.99 (no fees) |
What about Towers of Aghasba, SunnySide and Planet of Lana II?
All three carry the Cozy tag on Steam and have a PS5 page on Gocdkeys. Towers of Aghasba and SunnySide miss out on reviews: both sit at Mixed, 67% of 1,909 and 67% of 916 respectively. Planet of Lana II reviews well on PC (Very Positive, 91%), but the PS5 version has no confirmed release date yet, so everything on its page is a pre-order. If you're waiting for it, set a price alert for Planet of Lana II. Tales of Seikyu (Very Positive, 83%) isn't here either, because its PS5 page had no offers in stock this morning.
Where to start, depending on your budget
For under €13 with the game on your own account, you have three options: Leafy Corner, Snufkin and Little Kitty, Big City, all at the lowest PlayStation Store price we've recorded. For Tales of the Shire and Hello Kitty Island Adventure, check the Amazon France disc first. Rune Factory, Wanderstop, LEGO Voyagers and TOEM have all been much cheaper on Sony's store, and Story of Seasons costs more than twice the account price there, so unless you're in a hurry we'd set an alert and wait.
Playing on something else? We have separate picks of cozy games on PC and cozy games on Nintendo Switch.
Prices checked on the morning of 16 October.
