Of the fifteen cozy Switch games in this guide, only one has a European eShop code on sale this morning: PowerWash Simulator, at €14.26 with the coupon GCDK13 (€14.91 with fees) at Gameboost. Everything else is cheapest as a shared account, from €6.28 with fees for Is This Seat Taken?. That changes how you shop for this genre on Switch, so we start with formats and then go game by game.
"Cozy" is the Steam tag for games with no pressure: farms, small shops, gentle puzzles and stories where nobody shouts at you. We took Switch games whose PC version carries that tag, kept the fifteen that best fit the idea and have live offers on Gocdkeys, and sorted them into four groups: village life, calm chores, short walks and quiet mysteries. The eShop has no written reviews, so the ratings are for the PC version: the share of positive Steam reviews (with the number of reviews) and the Metacritic score Steam shows, where there is one. A dash means there is none.

The fourth column is the cheapest offer of any kind, and for all fifteen it is a global account at Key4Games with the coupon GOCDKEYS15. The last column only has three entries, because those are the only games with an eShop code in stock today, and two of them are American codes. The next section explains why that matters.
Account, eShop code or the eShop itself: what each Switch offer means
An eShop code is the clean option. You redeem it on your Nintendo Account and the game is yours, just as if you had bought it on the console. The catch is the region: a code works on a Nintendo Account set to the same region. A US code, like the ones for Little Kitty, Big City and Hello Kitty Island Adventure today, will not redeem on a European account. Before you pay, check that the offer says Europe or EU. If you have never redeemed one, our step-by-step guide to eShop codes shows where to type it.
An account is something else. The seller gives you the login of a Nintendo Account that already owns the game, you add it to your Switch and you play from that profile. The game never reaches your own account, and if the seller takes the account back or changes the password, it is gone. That is why accounts are cheaper. We quote them because on most of these pages they are the only third-party offer, but where a code exists we put it first.
The third option is to buy on the Nintendo eShop. All of these games can be bought there, but we do not have eShop prices for them in our data today, so we cannot tell you how much more the eShop costs than the accounts. The earlier prices we mention come from our price history and are without fees or coupons.
Village life: Story of Seasons, Potion Permit, Hello Kitty and Cozy Grove
If farming is what you want, there is a separate guide to farming games on Switch with Stardew Valley, Fae Farm and Tales of the Shire. The five here are about the people in the village as much as the crops.
STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town
The remake of the Game Boy Advance classic. You come back to Mineral Town to restore your late grandfather's farm: crops, cows and chickens, fishing, cooking, a hot spring after work and a list of villagers you can befriend, date and marry. It is the most traditional game here and the easiest to recommend if you have never played the series. 93% of 5,281 Steam reviews are positive.
No codes today. The cheapest offer is the global account at Key4Games, €10.77 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€11.51 with fees).
STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life
Another remake, this time of the GameCube game, and a very different one. In Forgotten Valley the story moves through the stages of your character's life: you marry, have a child and watch them grow while the farm changes around you. It is slower and more melancholic than Friends of Mineral Town. At 78% of 1,201 Steam reviews it shares the lowest rating in this guide.
Only accounts again: Key4Games has it for €11.55 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€12.32 with fees).
Potion Permit
You are the chemist sent to Moonbury, a town that distrusts outsiders, after the mayor's daughter falls ill. Patients come to your clinic, you diagnose them with small mini-games, go out to gather ingredients and brew the cure, with a dog at your side. Around thirty residents, each with their own routine. 78% of 4,400 Steam reviews are positive and it has a 72 on Metacritic, the most modest scores on this list.
The cheapest offer is the Key4Games account at €11.55 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€12.32 with fees).
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
It started on Apple Arcade and is now on Switch and PC. You arrive on Friendship Island, an island with eight regions, and fix it up with Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and more than forty Sanrio characters: you cook, craft gifts, solve puzzles and decorate cabins. The developer, Sunblink, talks of more than eighty hours of quests. 93% of 9,709 Steam reviews are positive.
This is a bad day for a code. The only eShop code in stock is an American one at G2A for €43.67 with no coupon (€43.96 with fees), which will not work on a European account and is far above what codes for this game usually cost: €24.99, with a low of €20.00 on 18 February. Key4Games' account is €15.89 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€16.86 with fees). We would set a price alert and wait for a European code.
Cozy Grove
A haunted island, and you are a Spirit Scout camping on it. Each ghost is a bear with a story, and helping them brings colour back to the drawing. Like Animal Crossing, it runs on the real clock: the game gives you thirty to sixty minutes of new tasks a day, and then you are free to fish, craft and decorate. It is built to be played a little every day for weeks. 89% of 7,518 Steam reviews are positive.
Key4Games sells the account for €8.66 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€9.30 with fees).
Calm chores: cleaning, selling books and finding everyone a seat
PowerWash Simulator
You run a pressure-washing business in the town of Muckingham. There are vans, playgrounds, houses and the odd strange vehicle, all covered in dirt, and you clean them bit by bit until the game lets you know each part is done. No timer, no score, no failure state. It sounds like nothing and it is very hard to put down. FuturLab's game is the most reviewed here: 96% of 50,988 Steam reviews are positive.
It is also the one game in this guide where you can buy a copy that is yours. Gameboost sells a European eShop code for €14.26 with the coupon GCDK13 (€14.91 with fees), a little below the €14.99 it usually costs, although we have seen it at €8.98. Key4Games' account is €8.30 with GOCDKEYS15 (€8.93 with fees), but for six euros more you get the game on your own account. If that is what you want, you can buy PowerWash Simulator key from its page.
Tiny Bookshop
You leave everything behind and open a second-hand bookshop by the sea, in a small trailer you take to a different spot in Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea each day. You stock genres, decorate the stall, recommend the right book to each customer and get to know the town. 96% of 7,025 Steam reviews are positive.
Key4Games has the account for €10.11 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€10.82 with fees). There are no codes.
Is This Seat Taken?
A logic puzzle about seating people. The bus, the cinema, a wedding, a taxi: every passenger has a preference or a pet peeve, the man with too much cologne cannot sit next to the guest with a sensitive nose, and you place them until everyone is happy. Between levels there is a small story about Nat, a shape who wants to be an actor. 97% of 9,201 Steam reviews are positive, Metacritic 79.
It is the cheapest game here: €5.77 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€6.28 with fees) for the account at Key4Games.
Short walks: a cat, an alligator and a mushroom
Three small open worlds that take an afternoon or two. No combat that matters, lots of climbing, and characters who ask you for favours.
Little Kitty, Big City
A black cat falls from a window and has to find its way home through the city. On the way it steals, knocks things over, makes friends with other animals and collects hats, which is half the point. You can finish it in a few hours or stay to complete every favour. 96% of 10,454 Steam reviews are positive.
Here the cheapest code is a US one: Eneba sells it for €22.79 with the coupon Gocdkeys10 (€25.30 with fees), and it only redeems on an American Nintendo Account. The lowest code price we have recorded is €17.90 on 23 May. Key4Games' account is €9.03 with GOCDKEYS15 (€9.69 with fees). If you want it on your own European account, set an alert or check the eShop.
Lil Gator Game
A little alligator whose big sister is too busy to play anymore, so he builds his own adventure on an island full of kids. You climb anything, glide, slide down hills on your shield and fight cardboard enemies with a stick. It is short and funny, and players love it: 98% of 4,528 Steam reviews are positive.
The Key4Games account costs €8.66 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€9.30 with fees).
Smushi Come Home
You are a tiny mushroom dropped in the middle of a forest. To get home you climb, glide and swim, helping the forest creatures you meet, and fill in a journal of real mushrooms as you go. A light game with simple puzzles and some platforming. It has the highest rating in this guide: 99% of 2,109 Steam reviews are positive.
Key4Games sells the account for €10.83 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€11.57 with fees).
Quiet mysteries: plants, a story book, a flying hospital and a tavern
Beacon Pines
A cute and slightly creepy adventure inside a book. Luka and his friends sneak out at night to find out what is going on at the old warehouse, and you collect charms with words on them that fill blanks in the story and send it down a different branch. You jump back and forth across a story tree until everything fits. 97% of 3,063 Steam reviews are positive, Metacritic 83.
Key4Games' account is €10.76 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€11.50 with fees).
Strange Horticulture
You run a plant shop in Undermere, a town surrounded by woods where witches are said to live. Customers ask for plants, and you have to identify them using an encyclopaedia, notes and clues, then decide who gets what: some want a remedy, others a poison. There is a cat to pet and an occult mystery that grows with each day. 94% of 14,916 Steam reviews are positive and it has an 83 on Metacritic. Bad Viking went back to Undermere with Strange Antiquities, which you will find in our cozy PC guide.
The account at Key4Games costs €8.66 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€9.30 with fees).
Wayward Strand
Casey, a teenager, spends a few days helping her mother on a hospital that floats in the sky. Time moves whether you are there or not: the patients and the staff go on with their day, and you choose whose conversation to follow. It is fully voiced and you will not see everything in one go. It has an excellent rating but few reviews, 94% of 85 on Steam, and a 79 on Metacritic.
Key4Games has the account for €10.83 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€11.57 with fees).
Tavern Talk
A visual novel in a Dungeons & Dragons-style fantasy world. You run the Wayfarer's Inn, listen to the adventurers who come in, mix drinks that change their mood and post quests from the rumours you hear. The developers say clearly it is not a management game: it is mostly reading, about twelve hours on a first run, with several endings. 87% of 1,456 Steam reviews are positive, Metacritic 80.
The cheapest offer is the Key4Games account, €13.00 with the coupon GOCDKEYS15 (€13.84 with fees). We have seen the account cheaper, at €11.99 in June.
Where we would spend our money
If you want the game on your own account, PowerWash Simulator is the clear choice today: a European code at €14.26 with GCDK13 (€14.91 with fees). Little Kitty, Big City and Hello Kitty Island Adventure only have American codes right now, and the Hello Kitty one costs far more than usual, so both are for an alert.
If an account is enough for you, the cheapest ones are Is This Seat Taken? at €6.28 with fees, then Cozy Grove, Lil Gator Game and Strange Horticulture at €9.30 with fees each. Before choosing an account for a long game like Story of Seasons or Cozy Grove, remember your save lives on a profile that is not yours; for a game you will play for months, we would check the eShop first.
Prices checked on the morning of 6 October.
