Brazil's Ministry of Justice keeps a public age-rating database, and on 2 September a game nobody had heard of turned up in it: Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United. It is filed as a role-playing game with Square Enix as publisher, and five platforms are named — PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Square Enix has said nothing about it.
A rating filing is not an announcement
There is no release window in that entry, no price, no trailer, no statement from the studio. A publisher has to get a game classified before it can sell it in Brazil, so these filings usually surface a few months ahead of the official reveal, and that is why people pay attention to them. What the paperwork cannot tell you is when, and it says nothing whatsoever about how much.
The one detail you can hang a rough date on is the Switch 2 in that platform list. Nobody files classification papers for hardware they are not actively building for, so whatever this is, it is being worked on now.
What makes it worth a paragraph on a comparison site is the other version. The Romancing SaGa 3 you can buy today came out in November, almost seven years ago, and its page has a price on file for every single day we have tracked it.
Thirteen offers on the PC page, and not one of them is an account
Thirteen live offers from twelve shops, and all thirteen are Standard keys you redeem into your own library. No shared Steam accounts, no borrowed logins, no Steam Gift copies waiting on a friend request. On pages this size the smallest number at the top usually belongs to somebody else's account and you have to scroll past it. Here you can buy the first line you see.
Cheapest is Kinguin at €6.99, a global Steam key. Behind it come Gamivo at €7.13, Eneba at €7.20 for the global region, HRKGame at €7.29, YUPLAY at €7.33, K4G at €7.65 and Itemku at €7.79. Seven shops inside eighty cents, which is what a settled price looks like. Then it opens up: Instant Gaming €8.59 and G2A €9.89.
The odd one out is Eneba again, this time with a Europe key at €13.36. Same shop, same Standard edition, €6.16 more than its own global code, and the cheap one works anywhere. On this page, reading the region tag is worth more money than anything else you can do.
Steam wants €31.99 for exactly the same game
Steam is asking €31.99 for it today, and Green Man Gaming matches that figure to the cent. Against Kinguin's €6.99 that is €25.00 of difference for the same Standard edition and the same entry in your library. Roughly four and a half times the money.
On the game itself, 370 of its 474 Steam reviews are positive, which puts it on Mostly Positive. Under five hundred votes is a thin sample, so go and read four of them before you trust the percentage.
What 1,572 daily readings say about €6.99
We hold a price for this page on 1,572 separate days. The lowest we have ever recorded is €5.21, three years ago, from G2A and YUPLAY, and both were real keys rather than accounts, so it counts as a genuine floor.
This summer got close to it. From the 1st to the 7th of August the cheapest key sat between €5.28 and €5.33. On 8 August it snapped back to €7.10 and stayed there, unmoved, for three and a half weeks. On 2 September it came down to €6.99 and has not shifted since.

So you are paying €1.78 above the floor today, and in the first week of August the same key was around €1.70 cheaper than it is now. That window was open for seven days.
Does the Brazilian filing change what you should do?
A rating entry moves nothing on its own. The announcement does, and the launch of the new version does more: older releases tend to get cut around both, partly to clear a lane and partly because the reveal sends people looking for the original. If Destinies United is confirmed in the next few months, a dip on the current version before it arrives is the reasonable bet.
The argument against waiting is that €6.99 already sits inside the band this game has lived in for most of the year, and the discounts that beat it have lasted about a week each time. If you want to play it now, buy Romancing SaGa 3 key and stop watching the page. If you can sit on it, the figure to aim at is €5.21, the only floor we have on record, and the last time the price came anywhere near it the window shut again inside a week.
PS4 has two offers, and the cheaper one is an account
The PS4 page works the other way round. Two offers and that is the whole list. The PlayStation Store was asking €9.59 when we last read it on 27 August. Difmark goes under it at €7.67 with an account: you sign into somebody else's PSN profile, the game never joins yours, and a password change ends it. Here the official store is the only copy that stays yours, and €2.60 over the PC key is what that costs.
For reference, the cheapest PS4 figure in our records is €7.59, back in July. It has never been the platform to buy this one on.
