NEOWIZ has started a publisher sale on Steam covering several of its games, and Lies of P is one of them. Our own price records put a date on it: the Steam page went from €59.99 to €29.99, no fees, on 15 September, after sitting at €59.99 every single day from 17 August to 14 September. A straight 50% off.
How long it lasts, we don't know. NEOWIZ hasn't published an end date and we're not going to invent one, which is reason enough to make up your mind this week rather than next.
There's a second number worth knowing before you click buy. The shops we compare have been selling the Steam Key well below Steam's €29.99 for a long time, and today the gap is wider than the discount itself.
Steam: €29.99 now, €59.99 until 14 September
The cut applies to the base game, no fees. For a month before this, Valve's page didn't move at all, so if Steam is the only place you buy, the decision is easy: it's half of what it asked two days ago.
One thing to keep separate. Lies of P has a paid expansion, Overture, sold as its own product. Every price below is for the base game and nothing else.
A reseller Steam Key costs €16.58 with fees
We checked the shops on the morning of 16 September (07:41 UTC), and these prices move daily. The cheapest is Gamivo at €15.06 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€16.58 with fees), Steam Key, standard edition. A second Gamivo listing sits at €15.25 with GCDKGamivo (€16.77 with fees). The rest of the front row:
- Driffle: €16.03 with the coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€17.01 with fees), Steam Key.
- K4G: €15.47 with the coupon GCDK14DEAL (€17.18 with fees), Steam Key.
- Eneba: €15.83 with the coupon Gocdkeys10 (€17.74 with fees), Steam Key.
- Instant Gaming: €18.79, no fees, Steam Key.
- CDKeys.com: €18.89, no fees, Steam Key.
Read that by the second figure. K4G starts 56 cents below Driffle and finishes 17 cents above it once its payment fee lands; Eneba starts 20 cents below Driffle and ends up 73 cents higher. Instant Gaming and CDKeys.com charge no fee, so their single price is the one you pay. There are 51 live offers on the PC page, and these are the ones worth opening first:
Against the discounted Steam price, the cheapest key saves you a bit over €13 on the same game, on the same platform, redeemed on your own account.
The €4.19 listing is a shared account, not your copy
Difmark shows Lies of P at €4.19 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€4.38 with fees), and that price comes with a format you need to read: Steam Account. You log into somebody else's account to play. The game never enters your library, and whoever owns the account can take the access back whenever they feel like it. Twelve euros separate that from a key that stays yours.
Only one day in 281 has been cheaper
Some background, all of it from our history of the PC Steam Key and all of it before fees and coupons. The median price of that key is €17.82, so today's €15.06 is around 15% under what it usually costs. Across 281 days of records, exactly one day has been cheaper than this one. The lowest we've ever logged is €10.71, on 22 July last year.
So there is room below, but not much of it, and the game rarely goes there. If you'd rather hold out for that figure, set a price alert and let it watch the shops for you.
Xbox, PS5 and PS4 pay full price
The sale stops at Steam. Both the Microsoft Store and the PlayStation Store still ask €59.99, no fees.
On Xbox there are 17 offers, and the cheapest one that's actually a key is Driffle at €21.29 with GOCDKEYS10 (€22.46 with fees), Xbox Key. Kinguin sells a PC / Xbox Key at €22.49 with SEPGOC10 (€24.63 with fees), and CDKeys.com the same format at €25.49, no fees.
PlayStation is the worst place to be this week. The PS5 page has 7 offers and the only thing under €59.99 is an account: G2A at €16.05 with GCKG2AU1M4D (€16.34 with fees), with the same catch as any shared account. On PS4, out of 5 offers, the alternative to the store is a physical copy at Amazon UK for €31.40, no fees.
Is this a good moment to buy it?
A reminder of what's on the table: a soulslike developed and published by NEOWIZ, set in a steampunk city called Krat and loosely built on Pinocchio. It came out three years ago and Steam users rate it Very Positive, with 53,113 positive reviews against 5,253 negative ones out of 58,366.
On PC, yes. Not because of the Steam discount, which is the second-best price on this page, but because €15.06 (€16.58 with fees) is close to the floor this game has ever reached, and there's no sale on the horizon that would beat it. Pick the shop you already trust and buy Lies of P key from there.
On console, no. Paying €59.99 at the official stores while the PC version sells for a third of that makes no sense unless you have no other machine, and the key shops on Xbox only bring it down to €22.46 with fees.
