The multiplayer side of JDM Japanese Drift Master reached consoles on 16 September, and the studio has it running with crossplay between every platform. Drifting alone is no longer the only way to play it, and PC and console drivers now share the same sessions.
Something else happened to the game on that same date. Up to 15 September, Steam had been asking €33.99, day after day, without moving a cent. On 16 September the official store dropped it to €13.59, and that is still the figure. Sixty per cent off. Both facts are dated and both come out of our own records; we are not going to tell you that one of them explains the other.

Thirty-two offers, seventeen shops and four different formats
Our PC page for the game currently holds 32 live offers spread across 17 shops. By format: 23 Standard copies, four Steam Gift, four Steam Account and a single Deluxe Ed.

The four lowest prices all belong to somebody else

What a Steam Account offer hands you
It is not a code. What arrives is the username and password of a profile the seller owns. The game lives in his library and it stays there: it never moves across to your account, you cannot gift it, you cannot resell it, and you will not see it sitting next to the rest of your collection. The day that password changes, the purchase is over and there is nobody to complain to.
With this particular game there is an extra catch, and it turned up on 16 September. Now that multiplayer is live and crossplay links the platforms, the profile other drivers see in the session is his. Anything you unlock stays bolted to an account you do not control.
The first copy that ends up in your library
Move four places down and the picture changes completely. The cheapest Standard copy, the one that lands in your own account for good, is Driffle at €12.38 with the coupon GOCDKEYS10 (€13.23 with fees). Almost three times what the cheapest shared account is asking.
And here is the part worth knowing before you go hunting for discount codes: Steam sells it at €13.59, no fees. That is 36 cents more than Driffle, with no coupon to type and nothing to check afterwards.
The other proper copies are all within a couple of euros:
- K4G: €11.93 with the coupon GCDK14DEAL (€13.34 with fees), Standard.
- Gamivo: €12.03 with the coupon GCDKGamivo (€13.44 with fees), Standard.
- Cdkeys Com: €14.19, no fees, Standard.
- Instant Gaming: €14.99, no fees, Standard.
At the opposite end of the same page, Humble Bundle wants €34.99 with fees for a Standard copy. That is a euro more than Steam was charging before 16 September.
Five months of readings and a €4.99 floor
We have been logging this game since late April: 2,920 readings across 143 days, with an average of €19.50. No fees and no coupons in any of those numbers, as always with our history. Steam at €13.59 today sits well under that average.
The monthly lows: €4.99 in September, €4.99 in August, €6.99 in July, €6.82 in June, €6.82 in May and €6.99 in April.
That €4.99 deserves a slow read. Every single reading at that figure came from one shop, and the only thing that shop sells here is a shared account. The smallest number on a game page and the price of owning the game are not always the same thing, and we do not have a cleaner example of it than this one.
What we would do about it
On the game itself, Steam settles at Mostly Positive: 3,913 players in favour against 1,304, out of 5,217 reviews. That is the verdict of a game people enjoy without being swept away by it, and it fits a drift sim from a small studio. We have no critic score we would stand behind, so we will leave the driving to those 5,217.
On the money we can be blunt. €13.23 with fees at Driffle or €13.59 with none at Steam, and the game is yours for good. Below that, what you are buying is a borrowed password.
