Invokyr, the co-op horror game from Ludogram, went into early access on Steam on October 8. Ludogram publishes it together with Shochiku, and it plays like a cursed tabletop game: themed boards, dice, cursed idols and a cast of monsters waiting for your group to slip up.
Steam is selling it for €9.74 (no fees), a 25% launch discount on the regular €12.99. The discount runs until October 22.
What you get on day one
One to six players in online co-op, and solo play is supported too. The launch build has the full multiplayer loop, several themed boards, more than 15 monsters, over 20 events and more than a dozen dice and cursed idols. There's also a shop, upgrades and progression that carries over from one board to the next.
Why waiting for a sale probably won't pay off
The developers say on the Steam page that they plan to raise the price gradually as they add content, and they expect early access to last roughly a year. Version 1.0 is supposed to bring more boards, themes, monsters, events, dice, cursed rules, items and upgrades, plus more story mysteries.
Put that together and the announced path is €9.74 until October 22, €12.99 after that, then increases as the game grows. If you were going to buy it at some point during early access, these next two weeks are the cheapest window we know of.
Can you find Invokyr cheaper than on Steam?
Not yet. Steam is the only store selling Invokyr on Gocdkeys right now, with the official Steam Key at €9.74 (no fees). No reseller has keys, and since the game came out yesterday we have no price history to compare against.
If you'd rather wait and see whether other stores pick it up, set a price alert and we'll let you know. Every offer we track is on the page to buy Invokyr key.
Is it worth jumping in with only 117 reviews?
Early Steam reviews are 94% positive out of 117, which puts it at Very Positive. That's a small sample, so take it as a good first impression and nothing more. Early access also means the game is unfinished: content will be added, things will be rebalanced, and what you buy today won't look the same in a year.
Best for a regular group of up to six
It makes the most sense for friends who already play together online and like board games. If you'd rather wait for 1.0, the developers have been clear that it will probably cost more by then.
Prices checked on the morning of October 9.
