God of War Laufey has been up for pre-order since 29 September and comes out on PS5 on 16 February. PlayStation Store charges €79.99 for the Standard Edition and €89.99 for the Digital Deluxe. Outside Sony's store our comparison has exactly one more offer, and it is not a code for your own account.
Standard and Digital Deluxe side by side
| Edition | What you get | PlayStation Store |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | The game, on disc or as a download | €79.99 (no fees), PSN Key |
| Digital Deluxe Edition | The game plus the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, an In-Game Resource Pack, the Digital Mini Artbook and the official digital soundtrack | €89.99 (no fees), PSN Key |
| Digital Deluxe Upgrade | The Deluxe extras, for Standard owners | €10.00 (no fees), digital add-on |
The upgrade costs the same €10 that separates the two editions, so starting with the Standard loses you nothing. Sony's announcement gives no euro price for the disc, and we are not going to guess one.
No collector's edition and no PC version have been announced: PS5 is the only platform named.
The pre-order bonus is the same for everyone
Buy either edition before launch and you get the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance (cosmetic only) and an in-game resource pack. The same PlayStation Blog post showed Faye's Serpent Bow, an enchanted bow with interchangeable Scales, which explains the Bow Scales in the Deluxe set.
Two offers today, and only one is a PSN Key
- PlayStation Store: €79.99 (no fees), PSN Key, Standard Edition.
- Difmark: €37.79 with coupon Gocdkeys (€39.49 with fees), Account, Global region, Standard Edition.
The Difmark price is €40.50 lower, but an Account is a different product. You are handed the login for someone else's PSN profile. Nothing is added to your own library, and if the seller changes the password you are locked out.
No other store has a PSN Key yet, for either edition.
What happened with Marvel's Wolverine
The last big PS5 exclusive we tracked from pre-order to launch was Marvel's Wolverine, out on 15 September. Until five days before launch, the only offer below Sony's price was a Difmark Account. It started at €49.99, went up to €53.99 in July and, bar a two-day dip in August, was still there on launch day (store rates, without coupons or fees).
The price fell afterwards. That same Account went to €44.99 the day after launch and to €35.99 by 28 September, again at store rate. The cheapest Wolverine key for your own account is still PlayStation Store's €79.99 (no fees), PSN Key.
Pre-order now or wait until February
If you want the game on your own account, it costs €79.99 today and nothing in our data says it will cost less before 16 February. The bonus goes to any pre-order made before launch, so there is no rush. As for the Account, the Laufey one has sat at a €44.99 store rate since June, and with Wolverine the drop came after release.
Every store is on the page to buy God of War Laufey key, and a price alert will tell you when a third one shows up.
Prices checked on the morning of 2 October.
