Thunder Lotus needs more time. At Fate's End, the next game from the studio behind Spiritfarer, Jotun and Sundered, has been pushed back to next year, and there is no firm date yet. As a consolation, a free demo has been available on PC since 8 October.
If you were about to pre-order it on PS5, hang on before you pay.
What the PS5 pre-order costs this morning
For now we only track the PS5 version, and two stores are selling it today:
The PlayStation Store charges €39.99 (no fees), PSN format. That is the official pre-order, and it sits on your own PlayStation account.
Difmark is cheaper because it sells an account
Difmark brings the price down to €33.59 with the coupon Gocdkeys (€35.10 with fees), but the format is Account. You are not buying a licence for your own PSN profile: you get access to someone else's account that has the game on it. For a game that is still many months away, that is not how we would pre-order, even to save €4.89.
| Store | Format | You pay (with fees) | Where the game ends up |
|---|---|---|---|
| PlayStation Store | PSN | €39.99 (no fees) | Your own PSN account |
| Difmark | Account | €35.10 | An account that isn't yours |
A €39.99 median after five months of tracking
We have been tracking this game for about five months. The median is €39.99, exactly what the PlayStation Store asks. The lowest price we have logged was €31.19 on 5 October, and that was an account, not the PlayStation Store. Both figures exclude fees.
Our advice: demo first, alert second
Pre-ordering now means leaving €40 tied up for months on a game with no release date. And with no date, there is no launch day to secure either.
If you play on PC, download the demo and see whether it clicks with you. We don't have the PC version in our catalogue yet, so we can't give you a PC price.
On PS5? Set a price alert on the PS5 version and we will email you when it drops. Every offer, fees included, is on the page to buy At Fate's End key.
Prices checked on the morning of 12 October.
