Quiplash is a party game built on the foundation of creative improvisation and group voting. Designed for 3-8 players with support for thousands of audience members, the game presents open-ended prompts—such as "An alternate use for a banana" or "Something you'd be surprised to see a donkey do"—and challenges players to craft the funniest, cleverest, or most absurd responses. Players submit their answers using their phones or tablets as controllers, then the group votes on which responses they find most entertaining.

The core gameplay loop emphasizes spontaneity and humor over trivia knowledge. Unlike traditional party games that reward factual accuracy, Quiplash rewards wit, creativity, and the ability to read your audience. Each round presents new prompts with no predetermined correct answers, making every playthrough unique and dependent on the personalities at the table. The game includes multiple rounds with escalating stakes, culminating in a final "Lash" round that determines the winner.

Quiplash distinguishes itself through its accessibility and flexibility. The game supports local multiplayer with phones as controllers, making it ideal for in-person gatherings. It also enables remote play through streaming, allowing online friends to participate by joining a room code. A family-friendly filter is available for players who want to enjoy the game in mixed-age settings, though the default experience embraces irreverent humor.

The target audience spans casual gamers and party enthusiasts of all ages. It appeals to groups seeking quick, social entertainment that doesn't require gaming experience or reflexes. The game's low barrier to entry—simply type funny answers and vote—makes it accessible to non-gamers, while the depth of humor and social dynamics keeps experienced players engaged. Quiplash works equally well as an icebreaker at gatherings or as a recurring favorite among established friend groups.
