The price does not include each store's payment fees. The percentage is measured on the store price, without coupons, because that is how we record the history. The analysis only counts Key offers. Which Mortal Shell II format should you buy?

With the shared account at Difmark you log into an account that already owns the game: it is the cheapest route, but it never becomes yours and the seller keeps the credentials. If they ever lose or change them, you lose access.

The key at Steam costs €37.40 more, but you redeem it on your own account and the game stays there for good. That is the difference between renting and buying.

The 14 Steam Gift offers are pricier than the key and leave more room for error, because they depend on the region and on Steam friendship.

Can you activate Mortal Shell II in US?

22 of the 24 offers work on US — the Global ones plus the ones issued for your own region.

Is Mortal Shell II worth it?

70 outlets reviewed it and it averages 85 out of 100, with 90% recommending it.

Why is there such an expensive Mortal Shell II offer?

One listing is worth ignoring: the Steam gift that G2A has at €65.31 is more than 5 times the cheapest offer and is not what this game costs. The number to work from is €49.99 at Steam.

Mortal Shell II Steam key: what the code gets you

Mortal Shell II is the soulslike action RPG from Cold Symmetry, published by Playstack, and the direct sequel to the Mortal Shell that launched in 2020. You return as the Harbinger, a hollow wanderer who survives by possessing the Shells of fallen warriors, and you carry that gift through a shattered dark fantasy world of ruined temples, forbidden forests, icy graves and citadels carved from bone.

Rather than inflate the map, the sequel keeps the compact structure the studio is known for: an interconnected open world with more than sixty dungeons, built to reward curiosity instead of padding out hours. There are eight playable Shells, each with its own weapon affinities, talents and upgrade tree, so swapping Shell changes your entire approach to a fight, not just the costume.

What changed in combat since the first Mortal Shell

The big one: the stamina bar is gone. Attacks, dodges and sprints are no longer rationed. What you manage now is posture, a bar that fills on both sides as blows land, get blocked or get parried. Fill an enemy's posture and it staggers, opening a riposte that ends in a critical strike or an outright execution.

Defence rests on four tools you can chain freely: parrying, with a tighter window than in the original; guarding, which lets you keep moving while damage is soaked up as posture; dodging, the cheapest way out of a combo or a grab; and Harden, the series signature, turning you to stone to absorb one hit without interrupting your own swing. The arsenal runs from greatswords, greataxes, hammers and scythes to ranged sidearms such as crossbows and hand cannons.

How a Mortal Shell II key is activated on PC

The PC version runs on Steam, so what you receive is a Steam key: open the Steam client, go to Games, choose the option to activate a product on Steam, paste the code and the game stays in your library for good. It is the format we recommend over shared accounts or gift links, because the licence ends up on your own account.

Editions differ as well: the Devout Edition adds three days of advanced access and eight obsidian Shell skins over the standard one.

PC requirements for Mortal Shell II

Cold Symmetry has only published a minimum specification: Windows 10 or 11, an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB or Radeon RX 6600 8 GB, DirectX 12 and, this part is not optional, an SSD: the game does not support mechanical hard drives.

Most common FAQs when buying Mortal Shell II for PC in digital format:

Three, and the gap between them matters more than the price does. The Steam Key is the normal activation: you paste the code into your own account and the game stays in your library. The Steam Account is the cheapest line on the list, but it is not really your purchase: you are handed access to someone else's account that already owns the game. The Steam Gift is a real transfer sent from another account, quick to redeem, though it depends on the sender and carries their region. The format label sits on every row of the comparison, right next to the amount, and it is worth reading before the figure is.
Open Steam, go to «Games» → «Activate a Product on Steam», accept the notice and paste the code. The game lands in your library and you can start downloading. Nothing needs to be installed first and the game does not need to be on your wishlist. Delivery from the stores compared here is digital, so the code usually reaches your inbox within minutes. If the offer you picked is an account or a gift, this is not the process: check the format label before you pay.
It is built as a single-player experience. The whole design revolves around possessing the Shells of fallen warriors and reading enemy attacks precisely, and Cold Symmetry has announced no co-operative or competitive mode. If you came looking for a soulslike to play alongside a friend, this is not it; what it offers instead is a fractured realm of interconnected regions with more than sixty dungeons to explore on your own.
The real change is in combat. The stamina bar is gone, replaced by a poise-break mechanic that rewards aggression and timing rather than passive defence. You get four defensive answers: Parry (high risk, high reward with the right seal), Guard (blocking while still moving), Dodge, and Harden, which turns your body to stone to absorb one hit. Ranged options join in — fast-firing crossbows and shotgun-type weapons — and every weapon type is now available to every Shell. The map grows too: the closed world of the first game becomes an open one of connected regions.
It demands the same precision but punishes differently. With no stamina to ration you can chain tactics without pausing, which shifts the difficulty from «when can I attack» to «when should I». The poise system asks you to hit the defensive moment almost frame-perfectly. Harden is still there as a safety net for the blow you did not see coming. If the first game suited you the curve will feel familiar; if you come from classic soulslikes, the habit to unlearn is bar management.
It depends on the label. Offers marked Global activate anywhere in the world, and EU ones activate in any European Union country. US and UK keys only activate in North America and the United Kingdom respectively, and a regional key can simply refuse to redeem with no further explanation. That is the most common reason a purchase turns out to be unusable, and the region is shown on every row of the comparison.
Gocdkeys compares Mortal Shell II for PC across 49 verified stores in real time, and the table above always shows the lowest verified price with the active coupon already applied, right now from €49.99. The amounts come straight from each store's feed and move through the day, so the order may not match what the store shows on its own page. Before paying, check the two things that actually change what you receive: the format and the region.
