Gamesplanet has opened a Devolver sale with cuts advertised at up to 90%, and Cult of the Lamb is in it. That is the news. What the announcement does not tell you is what the other seventeen shops were asking at the same moment, and that is where it gets interesting: Gamesplanet wants 10.68 € for the PC version, and twelve of those shops undercut it.
The sale is real, to be clear. A 90% cut is measured against a shop's own list price, and Gamesplanet sells close to the publisher rate for most of the year. The problem is that Cult of the Lamb has been a cheap game for a long time. A headline discount lands more or less where the rest of the market was already sitting.
What the shops are asking while the sale runs
We have 33 live offers from 18 sellers on the PC edition. The cheapest plain Standard key is € (with coupon GCDKGamivo), at Gamivo. Steam has the same game at 22.99 €, and that is the figure worth holding on to: anything well under it is a resale code, anything at 22.99 € is the storefront rate.
Between 8.34 € and 8.74 € there are thirteen offers stacked on top of each other — Kinguin, Driffle, Instant Gaming, Eneba, CDKeys, K4G, Gamivo, Playnox, CJS-CDKeys. Forty cents separate the first from the thirteenth. When the spread is that tight, the shop you already have an account with beats the shop that happens to be one cent lower.
Above that group things thin out fast: Gameboost 9.20 €, MMOGA 9.49 €, Difmark 9.59 €, then the discounted Gamesplanet offer at 10.68 €, then Lootbar at 11.15 € and G2A at 11.34 €. So the sale price is not a bad price. It is the eighteenth cheapest way to end up with the same game on Steam: seventeen offers, spread across twelve different shops, come in under it.
You will also see a Special Edition at 12.75 € and eight Steam Gift entries from 23.35 €. The Gift ones are not keys, they are copies sent to your account, and they cost more than Steam itself here.

The same shop can appear twice at two different prices
Kinguin is on the page at 8.34 € and again at 13.51 €. Eneba shows 8.50 € and 8.53 €, Driffle 8.35 € and 8.63 €, G2A 11.34 € and 11.73 €. Nothing is broken there. On a marketplace every entry belongs to a different seller sitting on their own stock, so one familiar name can occupy both ends of the same page.
The practical bit: the logo tells you where you are paying, not how much. Open the offer, check that it says Standard, check which region it activates in, then pay. On a game this cheap a wrong assumption costs more than the fifty cents you were chasing.
There is still a euro of air under today's cheapest
Our own history for the PC page gives a monthly low of 7.78 € in August, 7.74 € in July, 7.63 € in June and 7.31 € in May. The continuous record starts in spring, so treat that as a few months of evidence rather than the game's all-time bottom.
Even with that caveat, the shape is clear enough. The floor lives somewhere around 7.30–7.80 €, and today's cheapest offer is roughly half a euro above it. If you are the kind of buyer who waits, the wait is worth about sixty cents. If you want to play this weekend, you are not being fleeced at 8.34 €.
Worth remembering that the Steam user score sits at 10 out of 10 across 60,525 reviews. This is not a game people regret at eight euros.
On PC it is eight euros. On PlayStation and Switch it is twenty-five

Xbox tracks the PC price almost exactly. Sony and Nintendo do not: three times as much for the same run through the same cult. If you own more than one machine, the decision is made for you.
The extra content, if the base game is already yours
Four add-ons show up on PC and they are not priced the same way at all. Cultist Pack goes for 2.39 € and Sinful Pack for 2.89 €: cosmetic money, buy them on a whim or not at all. Pilgrim Pack sits at 4.20 €.
Woolhaven is the one that costs real money, 10.92 €, more than the base game. It is also the one to read twice: the Difmark offer at 7.89 € is an account, so you are not buying a code that lands on the Steam copy you already own. If you want Woolhaven on your library, the account route does not get you there.
The pick, and when we would sit it out
If you want it now, take the cheapest Standard key on the page from a seller you recognise and ignore the sale banner. You are looking at eight euros and change for a game with 60,000 reviews behind it.
If you have patience, the number to beat is 7.31 €, and the last four monthly lows all landed within fifty cents of each other. That is a small prize for waiting, but it is a real one, and the page will tell you when it happens. Either way, the place to check is the PC page: buy Cult of the Lamb key puts all 33 offers in front of you, sale included.
What we would not do is assume the shop shouting loudest has the best number. On this game, it does not.
