SCS Software will release Iceland, the next map DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, on Tuesday 10 November on PC via Steam. The studio confirmed the date on 24 October on its official blog, on X and on the DLC's Steam page.
What Iceland adds to the map
There are 14 cities and smaller towns, Reykjavík and Akureyri among them, spread along the Ring Road that circles the island. SCS first announced the expansion in June last year. Until now, the only way to haul cargo around Iceland in ETS2 was the ProMods fan mod.
SCS hasn't given a price for the DLC yet. There are no offers for it yet, but you can set a price alert on the Iceland DLC and we'll email you when the first ones show up.
You need the base game to play it
Iceland is a DLC, so it only runs on top of Euro Truck Simulator 2. If the game is already in your Steam library, you're ready for Tuesday. If it isn't, compare the editions before you buy the game on its own.
The base game alone costs more than usual this week
The cheapest Steam Key for the base game this morning was €7.04 at Gamivo with coupon GCDKGamivo (€8.28 with fees). For this game that's a high price. Its historical key median is €4.60 (no fees), it has been cheaper on 476 of the 550 days we have on record, and today it sits about 53% above its usual level. As recently as 19 October it hit its all-time low of €2.05 (no fees).
Difmark has something cheaper: a Steam Account at €1.67 with coupon Gocdkeys (€1.75 with fees). An account means you log into someone else's Steam profile, so the game is never yours, and DLC bought on your own account won't show up there.
Gold Edition is the better buy right now
Gold Edition is the base game plus the Going East DLC. Its best Steam Key is €10.30 at Eneba with coupon Gocdkeys10 (€11.73 with fees), and unlike the base game it's well placed: 33% under its usual median of €15.30 (no fees), and only cheaper on 152 of 676 days. Going East bought separately is €4.01 at Gamivo with coupon GCDKGamivo (€4.90 with fees), so the two pieces apart would come to €13.18 with fees. In other words, for €3.45 more than the bare game you get a second map expansion. Everything is on the Gold Edition page.
Legendary Edition and Mediterranean Bundle
According to its product page, Legendary Edition includes the base game with Scandinavia, Going East, the High Power Cargo Pack and several paint job packs. The cheapest Steam Key is €86.80 at HRKGame with coupon Gocdkeys12 (€89.17 with fees), right in line with its median, although on 3 October it dropped to €32.70 (no fees).
The Mediterranean Bundle has a single Steam Key offer, €48.07 at G2A (€48.36 with fees). Our product page doesn't spell out what it contains, so check the list at the store before buying.
For a Tuesday start without the game, Gold Edition is our pick this morning. If you only want the base game, it has spent most of its history under €5, so a price alert is worth setting unless you're in a hurry. All current offers are on the Euro Truck Simulator 2 key page.
Prices checked on the morning of 6 November.
