Ghost of Yotei sells on PS5 with three editions and two delivery formats, and the gap between the cheapest option and the collector's can triple the bill. Before looking at price it is worth knowing what actually separates them, because not everything that raises the ticket is something you play.
Which Ghost of Yotei editions exist?
| Edition | What it adds over standard | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | The game, no extras | Most people: this is the part you play |
| Deluxe | Extra digital content and cosmetic additions | Anyone who wants the add-ons and accepts paying more |
| Collector's | The fullest package, with the collectible items | Series fans; by far the dearest |
Practical rule: standard and Deluxe play identically. If the gap between them is a few pounds, Deluxe earns it; if it balloons, it does not. The collector's is bought for a different reason, not to play better.
What is the difference between a PSN code and an account listing?
A PSN code is a normal purchase: you redeem it on your profile and the game stays on your account permanently. An account listing is something else: you are given access to somebody else's account. Not your profile, not your trophies, and access ends when the seller changes the password. It is usually the cheapest line, which is why it tops price-sorted lists.
How do you redeem a PSN code?
- Open the PlayStation Store on the console or in a browser with your account.
- Find the redeem codes option in your profile menu.
- Enter the full code and confirm.
- The game appears in your library, ready to download.
Important: PSN codes are region-locked. A European one will not go into an account from another region. Check the offer's region before paying — it is the mistake that generates the most refunds.
Is it worth waiting for the price to drop?
On console exclusives the seller pool is narrow, so drops arrive later and more gently than on PC. If you are not in a hurry, comparing every few weeks tends to beat buying on release day; if you are, go standard with a PSN code from your region.
With the edition settled, only today's price is left. You can buy Ghost of Yotei key comparing every shop at once, with edition and region on show.
