Winds Of Trade is a strategy game that places us between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and in which we will be a maritime merchant. The gameplay and the main idea remind us of titles such as the Patrician saga or the title Port Royale, in which we began as a humble trader and we could end up ruling merchant fleets that covered the known world. In this new game set in the same mechanics as the above mentioned titles, we will start being a small merchant with a small commercial ship, and through our intelligence, skill and cunning we´ll grow our commercial empire above any other. Our goal will be to become a commercial mogul of the time, but it will not be easy, as countless pirates, smugglers, wars between countries and climatic conditions, among other factors, will affect our trade routes and our income. Among the strengths of this title is that the worlds are generated randomly, as well as the events and challenges that we will encounter, in addition to the supply and demand of each region. The products with which we will trade are governed by the law of supply and demand, so normally we will obtain higher yield the farther from the origin we sell the raw materials or the manufactured products, but also greater danger we will run to that they rob us the load by disgusting pirates or smugglers anticipate our movements. We will also be able to fight against anyone who tries to steal the merchandise, so it is advisable that we´ll arm our ship as soon as possible. Among the strengths is that our crews will increase in level, which will make them more effective either in combat or when sailing, reducing times between colonies.

An amusing game with different victory conditions to choose from. The music is great and it adds a lot to the experience. The graphics could use some polishing, but they are okay. Overall, an enjoyable strategy experience for fans of this genre!
