Valiant Hearts takes us back to the years between 1914 and 1918 , and tells the story of five characters: Emile, a French farmer who goes in search of his son and becomes a prisoner of war after his first battle. Freddie, a U.S. soldier fighting for the honor of his wife. Ana, a doctor from the battlefield. George, a British pilot who lied about knowing how to fly. And Karl, a German soldier who is in love with the daughter of Emile. The five stories are intertwined due to an adorable dog that intersects each of their stories and help them on their way. Valiant Hearts game is a side scrolling 2D traditional puzzles that change with the story of each character. Valiant Hearts has been made using the engine Rayman Legends and according to the development team, the art direction is designed to look like a comic, exaggerated character design in order to create a contrast with a serious and well styled story.
