To achieve this, you will have to overcome the MK Trials and Challenges, immersive story-based therapies that require time to complete. In addition, you will be able to customize your own test patient and decorate your cell, which will become your home as you progress through the therapy.

In the purest Outlast style, the game focuses on avoiding enemies, hiding from them and trying to escape. Murkoff will provide you with tools that will help you improve your stealth abilities, create opportunities to escape, slow down enemies and more. However, you will have to work hard and complete disturbing tasks in each test or challenge to obtain and upgrade these tools.

In addition to the single-player campaign, The Outlast Trials also offers the option of cooperative play with other players, as well as online player-versus-player matches.
