Frequently asked questions about the PS4 games on this list
Because the list is ordered by real clicks over the last 90 days, not by release date. On PS4 that pushes a lot of veteran sports and action editions to the surface, and they keep getting searched precisely because their digital price has fallen far further than a new release ever does.
Yes, the vast majority: the PS5 runs the PS4 digital catalogue. The upgraded PS5 version is a different matter, often a separate product with its own price; when one exists we list it as its own page.
PlayStation does not work with keys the way PC does. What you normally get is a PlayStation Store redeem code, or access to an account where the game is already bought. The account is cheaper, the code is yours for good; we label which one every offer is so you choose knowing what you are buying.
On the console, under PlayStation Store > Redeem codes, or by signing into your account on the web. The game is tied to that account from then on and can be downloaded as many times as you need.
Two reasons: older catalogue is cleared far more aggressively outside the official store, and there are codes tied to countries with lower list prices. We compare both cases across 44 verified stores, with the region marked on every offer.
