This is an upgraded version of slime rancher. You have more areas to explore, more things to gather and craft, more slimes to collect and combine and so much more. If you were a fan of the first game, you will absolutely love this better version of the game!
I have been playing Slime Rancher 2 since its release date. It has been really relaxing and fun, especially if you enjoyed and were a fan of the original. Upon entering Rainbow Island, I was immediately impressed by how gorgeous everything is. The colors are bright, but feel natural. The lighting is warm. Overall, it feels livelier than the first game. Gameplay-wise, it is still the perfect combination of exploring, collecting adorable slimes, and trying to prevent chaos on your ranch. The new slimes are adorable; I personally love the Cotton slimes. However, the game definitely feels somewhat unfinished. It looks and plays very polished, but there is not much to do yet. After a while you'll run out of new things to explore and build, which can feel saddening if you're hoping for a long game that will feel deep right off the bat. But they are still updating it, and so I am confident it will become better with more content. If you are looking for something colorful and relaxing, or just a good time, then this is worth playing. It has been a comfort game for me, good to unwind after a long day.
