About Returnal
Break the cycle as this award-winning third-person shooter brings bullet hell action to PC. Selene’s roguelike odyssey arrives with a suite of arresting graphical and performance-based enhancements to ensure an unforgettable journey. This includes the full Returnal™ experience, complete with Suspend Cycle, Photo and Co-op Modes, as well as the Tower of Sisyphus included from day one.BACKGROUND:
After crash-landing on this shape-shifting world, Selene must search through the barren landscape of an ancient civilization for her escape. Isolated and alone, she finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again and again, she’s defeated – forced to restart her journey every time she dies. Through fast, relentless gameplay, you’ll discover that just as the planet changes with every cycle, so do the items at your disposal. Every loop offers new combinations, empowering you to push your boundaries and approach combat with a different strategy each time.
Brought to life by stunning visual effects, the dark beauty of the decaying world around you is packed with explosive surprises. From high stakes, bullet hell-fuelled combat, to jaw-dropping twists and turns set across stark and contrasting environments. You’ll explore, discover and fight your way through an unforgiving journey, where mystery stalks your every move. Designed for extreme replayability, the procedural world of Returnal invites you to dust yourself off in the face of defeat and take on new, evolving challenges with every rebirth.

16:10, Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) aspect ratios offer an expanded field of view throughout Atropos – with wider aspects adding additional options for cinematics and the user interface. All this in stunning 4K.(1) On high-specification PCs, experience deeper immersion with ray-traced reflections and shadows, adding a whole new layer of lighting options – all customizable through various sliders. Performance enhancing technologies such as NVIDIA’s DLSS and NVIDIA NIS, as well as AMD’s FSR(2), are also available.

Co-op Mode:
In Co-op Mode, share your journey through the shifting labyrinth of Atropos with another PC player.(5) The hostile nature of Atropos will remain unwavering, but the possibility of teamwork adds a whole new dimension and means of survival. Each player controls a different version of Selene, from different cycles. Using the Chronosis device located in each biome, the host player summons a friend or is matched with another random online player. The progress of the host determines the available item pool for the duration of the multiplayer session.
Tower of Sisyphus:
Next time you wake at the crash site, look up. You should be able to see a gate towards the Tower of Sisyphus, accessible as long as you’ve unlocked the Icarian Grapnel.(5) In this Tower, prepare for a new kind of challenge. It’s a nearly endless ascending gauntlet with a pure focus on combat, how high you build up your score and progress, exclusive items, Scout logs and as-yet unseen fragments from Selene’s story.
5 The Tower of Sisyphus, House sequences and Challenge Mode are not available in Co-op Mode. Cross-play with players on PlayStation®5 consoles is not supported.

How much does Returnal for PC cost right now?
Returnal for PC starts at €5.77 (€6.28 with fees) at Key4Games, 90% under the €59.99 (no fees) of the official store — but that is a shared account, not a key of your own. If you want a key tied to your own account, the cheapest is €12.30 (€13.72 with fees) at Gamivo.
That €5.77 (€6.28 with fees) already includes the GOCDKEYS15 coupon, so apply it at checkout or the store will show you a higher price.
With 33 offers across 19 stores there is enough competition for the price to move, so the gap between the cheapest and the rest is worth checking before you buy.
That puts it 13% under its average of €17.19 since 2023, so today is a better entry point than most days of its life.
Is it worth buying the Steam Key for Returnal now or waiting?
That €12.30 (€13.72 with fees) key is at one of its best prices.
- Those €12.30 (€13.72 with fees) are 42% below what it usually costs, measured on the store price.
- 19 stores sell the Steam Key at the same time, and with that much competition the price moves almost daily.
- Not counting today, only 28 days out of the 751 days on record were this cheap or cheaper; the lowest it has ever cost is €9.75.
Worked out from 4,151 daily records of the Steam Key for Returnal across 27 stores. See the full price history.
The price does not include each store's payment fees. The percentage is measured on the store price, without coupons, because that is how we record the history. The analysis only counts Key offers. Shared accounts, Steam Gift and physical editions stay out, because they are not the same product and their prices move differently.
Which Returnal format should you buy?
With the shared account at Key4Games you log into an account that already owns the game: it is the cheapest route, but it never becomes yours and the seller keeps the credentials. If they ever lose or change them, you lose access.
The key at Gamivo costs €6.53 (€7.44 with fees) more, but you redeem it on your own account and the game stays there for good. That is the difference between renting and buying.
The 5 Steam Gift offers are pricier than the key and leave more room for error, because they depend on the region and on Steam friendship.
Can you activate Returnal in US?
23 of the 33 offers work on US — the Global ones plus the ones issued for your own region.
Is Returnal worth it?
Critics landed at 86 out of 100 across 201 reviews, with 89% of them recommending it.
Why is there such an expensive Returnal offer?
One listing is worth ignoring: the Steam gift that Key4Games has at €70.85 (€73.83 with fees) is more than 11 times the cheapest offer and is not what this game costs. The number to work from is €12.30 (€13.72 with fees) at Gamivo.
WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN GOCDKEYS?
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BUYING Returnal STEAM KEY?
If it is a STEAM Key it does not usually have a regional lock, but STEAM Gift usually do have regional locks.

What do our users think of Returnal for PC Digital?
A top tier roguelike - shooter: Excruciating but addictively quick, challenging, mind - boggling combat with a haunting atmosphere. The visuals are stunning and gameplay smooth with DualSense features, but levels can drag on length - wise. It's a great addition.
