This expansion invites you to embark on a treacherous descent ‘Into the Abyss’, encountering new challenges and mechanics not seen in the base game. As you delve deeper, the stakes get higher, and the challenges become increasingly difficult. In this expansion, you will embark on a dangerous descent into the Abyss, encountering new challenges and innovative mechanics not present in the base game. Each stage of the Abyss offers a new combat challenge against Xon's minions, increasing in difficulty and rewards as you progress.

The new content is vast and is unlocked after defeating Bane in the base game. Introduces Abyssal skill levels for all existing skills, with 60 additional levels for each. Additionally, you'll find new damage and resistance mechanics, and all Abyssal monsters deal Abyss-specific damage. New combat and gathering skills exclusive to the Abyssal Realm are also introduced, with mechanical skill trees offering passive and permanent bonuses.

Among the additions are more than 900 new items, more than 100 monsters and 20 pets. You'll explore 12 new Abyssal Battle areas and 14 Abyssal Slayer areas, with new Abyssal Fortresses. The expansion also includes 28 new magic spells, 30 abyssal prayers, 12 types of trees for logging, 18 species of fish, and 30 cooking recipes with new food modifier mechanics. Additionally, there are new mining, forging, thievery, rune-crafting, and herbalism activities.
