The Giant Carp Pack expands Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour with two legendary carp fishing destinations: Wraysbury 1 South Lake in England and Gillhams Fishing Resort in Thailand. Wraysbury is one of the most historic carp fishing venues in the world, featuring approximately 500 carp including common, mirror, and ghost varieties, with the famous Mary—arguably the most celebrated carp of all time at 56 pounds—recreated as a trophy fish alongside other legendary residents. The lake presents diverse challenges across multiple swims with pike, tench, bream, and roach also available, plus 25 distinct trophy fish to pursue.

Gillhams Fishing Resort offers a contrasting experience in Thailand's Krabi province, a 12-acre paradise hosting five exotic species new to the base game: arapaima, Siamese carp, redtail catfish, Mekong catfish, and black pacu. These fish reach extraordinary sizes—arapaima specimens exceed 560 pounds—requiring specialized tackle and technique. The resort provides 25 additional trophy fish targets, creating a high-stakes hunting experience for anglers seeking monster-sized catches.

Gameplay centers on realistic fishing simulation with authentic physics and fish AI that respond to environmental factors including weather conditions and time of day. Players select from hundreds of licensed equipment items from over 50 manufacturers, customize tackle setups, and employ different fishing techniques appropriate to each species and venue. The DLC integrates into the base game's career mode, introducing new competitive events at both locations where players can earn sponsorships, career earnings, and social media followers while competing against professional anglers.

The Giant Carp Pack targets dedicated carp fishing enthusiasts and simulation fans seeking authentic, species-specific angling challenges. It emphasizes strategic planning, equipment knowledge, and patience—core elements of real carp fishing translated into interactive form. The combination of iconic English waters and exotic Asian destinations provides contrasting environments and fish populations, appealing to players who value variety and specialized fishing disciplines within a comprehensive simulation framework.
