What do our users think of Firewatch for PC Digital?
A story-driven first-person game in a Wyoming forest you take on the role of a fire lookout unraveling a mystery. It has beautiful visuals and convincing conversations. The story is short, poignant, and powerful: perfect if you seek story-oriented games.
Making this a very personal walking simulation game, Firewatch trades in human vulnerability and loneliness for the usual jump scares and zombies. You find yourself in the shoes of Henry, a fire lookout tasked with solving a mystery from afar, conducted over radio with his boss Delilah (whose voice actor Cissy Jones sets the very perfect tone of being entertaining yet melancholy at the same time). Every long shadow and faraway sound feeds your long-winded growing anxiety, as the sun-drenched wilderness of Wyoming-a paradise envisioned by painter Olly Moss-shrouds creeping paranoia. A brief yet moving story about running away, and the things we cannot outrun.
