About Defunct

Defunct is an indie adventure game with a focus on flow, speed and an engaging world. You are a broken robot that accidentally falls out of a giant cargo ship onto a post-human Earth, now inhabited by robots. You have to get back to your ship before it’s too late!

You are equipped with a Gravitize engine. It is used to create a separate gravity around yourself; this is the main source of your speed. Use this in downhills to accelerate. But be careful, using it uphill will slow you down. In addition to this the world is full of different speed boosts such as Enerjuice, which you can pick up and use to go faster.

These tools enable you to drive through the world, meet strange robots, fly through junkyards and boost your way back to your ship.

Features
  • High speed gameplay with unique ‘gravitation’ engine.
  • Traverse 11 varied levels full of different climates, biomes and challenges.
  • Unlock skins for the main character.
  • School everyone with special (unlockable) tricks.
  • Compete for the best completion times in time trial mode (which features 5 extra levels).

How much does Defunct for PC cost right now?

Defunct for PC starts at €0.14 (€0.50 with fees) at Kinguin, a Steam key, which is 49% under the €0.99 (no fees) it costs on the official store.

That €0.14 (€0.50 with fees) already includes the OCTGOC10 coupon, so apply it at checkout or the store will show you a higher price.

With 15 offers across 12 stores there is enough competition for the price to move, so the gap between the cheapest and the rest is worth checking before you buy.

It is €0.01 away from its all-time low (€0.15, back in September 2026).

Is it worth buying the Steam Key for Defunct now or waiting?

That €1.32 (no fees) key is at one of its best prices.

  • Those €1.32 (no fees) are 75% below what it usually costs, measured on the store price.
  • Only 7 stores sell the Steam Key, and with that little competition the price barely moves.
  • Not counting today, only 1 day out of the 275 days on record were this cheap or cheaper; the lowest it has ever cost is €1.06.
At this price it is worth buying the Steam Key now: what you stand to gain by waiting is a few euros, and it is not guaranteed.

Worked out from 722 daily records of the Steam Key for Defunct across 9 stores. See the full price history.

The price does not include each store's payment fees. The percentage is measured on the store price, without coupons, because that is how we record the history. The analysis only counts Key offers. Shared accounts, Steam Gift and physical editions stay out, because they are not the same product and their prices move differently.

Can you activate Defunct in US?

12 of the 15 offers work on US — the Global ones plus the ones issued for your own region.

Is Defunct worth it?

Critics put it at 62 out of 100, though there are only 13 reviews published so far.

Why is there such an expensive Defunct offer?

One listing is worth ignoring: the Steam key that GamesPlanet has at €7.96 (no fees) is more than 15 times the cheapest offer and is not what this game costs. The number to work from is €0.14 (€0.50 with fees) at Kinguin.

Delivery times vary by store. For example, in the case of Instatgaming, Eneba, G2a, or Kinguin, delivery is usually instant or takes just a few minutes. These stores rarely delay game deliveries.

Other stores may take 30–40 minutes depending on game availability. On release days, delivery times may be slightly longer.

If you notice an unusually long delay, contact the store or us, and we’ll resolve it as quickly as possible.
At Gocdkeys, we only list the most well-known stores that have passed our quality checks. One of the most important factors is good customer support, and all listed stores offer it.

In any case, we always offer a 100% guarantee, so you won’t have any problems, and if you do, we’ll resolve them as soon as possible.
