Riot Points (RP) are how you unlock skins, champions, chromas and event passes in League of Legends — and unlike Blue Essence, RP can only be bought with real money. This guide shows exactly how much RP each skin tier costs, what you need for the things you want, and how to top up RP for less from verified stores.
LoL skin price tiers (in RP)
| Tier | RP | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Budget | 520 / 750 | Recolours and older, simpler skins |
| Standard | 975 | New model and theme |
| Epic | 1,350 | New model, VFX, SFX and splash art |
| Legendary | 1,820 | Full re-imagining + new voice-over and animations |
| Ultimate | 3,250 | Evolving/transforming skins (e.g. Elementalist Lux) |
Most modern skins land at 1,350 RP (Epic). Prestige, Mythic and limited skins use separate currencies or bundles. Champions can also be bought with RP, though Blue Essence earned in-game is the cheaper route for those.
