Quick verdict

Street Fighter 6 looks best on PS5, and PC is the most flexible version.

Best graphics experience PS5 dynamic 2160p at 60 fps, more NPCs, lighting and textures
Best console for the money Xbox 13.67 € key, with 1080p and 60 fps on Series S
Best performance for the money PC 10.28 €, the cheapest key, and free resolution up to 4K
Best for playing away from home Switch 2 a stable 60 fps: 1080p docked, 720p handheld via DLSS

Why PS5 wins

PS5 is the only measured console reaching dynamic 2160p at 60 FPS, and it also raises the settings: more NPCs on screen, better lighting, shadows, textures and post-processing. Everything else sits a step below.

The other consoles

Xbox Series S stops at 1080p and 60 FPS. PS4 Pro runs 1440p at 60. Switch 2 renders at 540p and upscales with DLSS to 1080p docked and 720p handheld, yet its image lands very close to Series S, sometimes above it. All four hold 60 FPS. The base PS4 only shows up in the demo comparison, at 1080p and 60 FPS, and there World Tour mode fell short on it and on PS4 Pro alike.

On PC

On PC you pick the resolution and the settings, and 4K is supported, but the feature list is thin: no HDR, no ray tracing, no upscaling. 120 FPS only works with caveats. What PC wins here is freedom and price, not effects.

Series S still carries a bug that drops its texture resolution below every other version.

Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series S and PS5: graphics comparison

  • PS4 Pro settles at 1440p and 60 FPS, Xbox Series S at 1080p and 60 FPS.
  • Switch 2 renders at 540p and upscales with DLSS: 1080p docked, 720p handheld, 60 FPS either way.
  • Despite that low native resolution, DLSS lands very close to Series S image quality, and in places above it.
  • Series S still has a bug that drops texture resolution below every other version.
  • On graphics settings, Switch 2 sits closer to PS4 Pro and Series S than to PS5.
  • Switch 2 holds a stable 60 FPS.

Street Fighter 6 on PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5: the demo compared

  • It was made with the demo, so the final version may not match what it shows.
  • PS4 runs at 1080p and 60 FPS, PS4 Pro at 1440p and 60, and PS5 at 2160p and 60.
  • PS5 improves several settings: textures, shadows, ambient occlusion, reflections, motion blur, physics-driven assets and antialiasing.
  • PS4 has worse antialiasing and worse ambient occlusion than PS4 Pro.
  • World Tour mode runs unevenly and looks fairly plain: exploring the city, PS4 and PS4 Pro do not reach 60 FPS.
  • He hoped World Tour performance would still improve for the final release.

Frequently asked questions about Street Fighter 6

Which platform does Street Fighter 6 look best on?

PS5. It is the only measured version hitting dynamic 2160p at 60 FPS, and the one that pushes the settings: more NPCs, better lighting, shadows, textures and post-processing. On PC you choose resolution and settings, but the game has no ray tracing, no HDR and no upscaling.

What frame rate does it hit on console?

60 FPS on all four versions compared: PS5, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series S and Switch 2. On Switch 2 those 60 FPS are stable. These figures come from the video analysis, not from our own testing.

How does the Switch 2 version hold up?

Better than its resolution suggests. It renders at 540p and upscales with DLSS to 1080p docked and 720p handheld, landing very close to Xbox Series S and sometimes above it. Its graphics settings sit in line with PS4 Pro and Series S.

What is wrong with the Xbox Series S version?

It runs at 1080p and 60 FPS, but a bug leaves its textures at a lower resolution than every other version. This analysis publishes no figures for Xbox Series X.

Does it have ray tracing?

No. PCGamingWiki does not list it for the PC version, and no other platform has published data. There is no HDR and no DLSS/FSR-style upscaling on PC either.

Can I play at 120 FPS on PC?

Only with caveats. PCGamingWiki marks it as limited, the same as ultrawide support and field of view, which need unofficial tweaks. 4K is supported out of the box.

Do the PS4 figures apply to a base PS4?

The figures from the final-version analysis come from a PS4 Pro: 1440p and 60 FPS. The base PS4 only has demo data, where it ran at 1080p and 60 FPS with worse antialiasing and worse ambient occlusion than PS4 Pro. In World Tour mode neither of them reached 60 FPS exploring the city.

Which version is cheapest?

The cheapest key is on PC at 10.28 € on Kinguin, followed by Xbox at 13.67 € on Gaming Dragons. On Switch 2 the physical edition is 32.90 €. Watch out for account offers: they look cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.

Are there cloud saves?

On PC yes, through Steam Cloud. No data has been published for the other platforms.
