The best version of Mafia The Old Country is the PC one, and among consoles PS5 wins.
PC is the only version with free settings, and it ships the full upscaling set: TSR, DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 3, with frame generation from all three. It is also the hardest to drive: the fastest of the 31 cards we measured on the Epic preset, an RTX 5090, sits at 75-100 FPS at 1080p, and an RTX 4090 drops to 63-76.
On console PS5 leads Series X: it touches 60 FPS in quality mode at times and holds a higher average resolution, though its minimums fall a little lower. Both share two display modes and both let you turn Vsync off, with the game capped at 60 FPS.
Series S is the weak step: no display modes and settings below everyone else039;s performance mode. Even with that, the analysis calls this one of the best optimisation jobs he has seen on Unreal Engine 5.
⚠ Series S fails to hold a stable 30 FPS at times.

PC, the only one with free settings, ultrawide support and all four upscalers: TSR, DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 3. On console the best image is PS5 Pro, which cuts less in performance mode and raises draw distance, lighting, terrain and level of detail in quality mode.
Two on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X: quality and performance. Xbox Series S has no display modes at all.
The game is capped at 60 FPS on every console, though you can turn Vsync off to unlock the frame rate. PS5 reaches those 60 in quality mode at times; Series S fails to hold a stable 30 at points. These are figures observed in the video analysis, not a measurement of ours.
On PS5. It performs a bit better and holds a higher average resolution, although its minimums sit slightly below those of Series X.
Mainly vegetation, shadows, draw distance, lighting, resolution, terrain quality and reflections. On PS5 Pro the cuts are smaller.
It is the thinnest version. No display modes, settings below the performance mode of the other consoles, and even then it fails to hold a stable 30 FPS at times.
It is heavy on its highest preset. Of the 31 cards we measured on the Epic preset, the fastest is an RTX 5090 at 75-100 FPS at 1080p; an RTX 4090 gives 63-76 and an RTX 4080 SUPER 54-68. On the requirements page you can pick yours and see the figure.
On PC, TSR, DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 3, with frame generation from all three. No figure is published for the console versions.
On PC it is partial: PCGamingWiki marks it as limited. No figure is published for the console versions.
The cheapest key is on PC, at 8.61 € on GamesPlanet. On Xbox the key rises to 23.37 € and on PS5 to 29.99 €. Watch out for account offers, which look cheaper because they are not a purchase in your name.
