ARK is fine as a survival sandbox game... I was really not sure while playing the game if it would be good... The only game of this genre I played was Minecraft. But it was simply AWESOME... specially when played with friends... this game was funny and playing alone was not that much fun though... recommending if you have a lot of time to grind. but opening a dedicated server may solve your problem of grinding
