Play as Pomulus Vongoat VII, a cute goat princess with artistic aspirations trapped in the surreal land of Illeh. After losing her kingdom and family to invasion, Pomu becomes possessed by an evil spirit—a dark power she must harness to survive and escape. This pixel-art metroidvania blends exploration, combat, and ability progression with a distinctive violent edge that contrasts sharply with its charming aesthetic.

The core gameplay loop centers on mastering a simple but satisfying combo system. Punch enemies, seize their weapons, and chain attacks together to build momentum. Not every foe falls to the same strategy, requiring tactical thinking about approach and tool selection. As you progress through Illeh's twisted environments, you unlock six unique weapons and dozens of abilities that expand your combat options and open new areas to explore.

Progression follows classic metroidvania design: collect power-ups to gain new traversal abilities, find hidden items and lore fragments scattered throughout the world, and uncover the mystery behind the Qmen's invasion. The game respects player skill with multiple difficulty settings, including a punishing one-life mode for those seeking maximum challenge. Hand-crafted pixel art and animations bring the world to life with striking visual style and memorable character moments.

Princess Pomu and the 5 Moons targets action-platformer fans who appreciate tight combat mechanics, exploration-based progression, and games that balance cuteness with genuine challenge. The violent twist on a cute protagonist appeals to players who enjoy tonal contrast and aren't looking for a traditional fairy tale. Whether tackling normal difficulty or pursuing the permadeath gauntlet, there's substantial content to discover across multiple playthroughs.
