The Siege of Castle Doom expands Marvel Cosmic Invasion with a Doctor Doom-centered campaign that brings two legendary Fantastic Four members into the arcade-style beat 'em up action. Players take control of the Invisible Woman, wielding her light-bending powers and force field manipulation, and Doctor Doom himself, armed with high-tech armor, occult abilities, and genius intellect. The new game mode is set in the nefarious Castle Doomstadt, placing the ruler of Latveria at the center of an all-new adventure against the Annihilation Wave.

Building on the base game's tag-team combat system, this expansion maintains the fast-paced, side-scrolling beat 'em up gameplay that defined the original experience. Players select two characters and switch between them mid-fight using the Cosmic Swap system, combining their unique movesets and abilities to create dynamic team strategies. The new characters feature distinct voice lines and combat animations, bringing fresh tactical options to both campaign and multiplayer modes.

The DLC integrates seamlessly with Marvel Cosmic Invasion's existing 17-character roster, expanding total playable fighters to 19 and enabling new team combinations across all game modes. Both Doctor Doom and the Invisible Woman are compatible with existing characters, allowing players to experiment with unprecedented pairing possibilities. The expansion maintains the retro pixel-art aesthetic and arcade sensibility that earned the base game critical acclaim.

Designed for fans of classic beat 'em ups and Marvel lore alike, The Siege of Castle Doom delivers substantial new content for cooperative play. The expansion supports single-player and multiplayer modes, including up to four-player local and online co-op, making it ideal for both solo campaigns and group sessions. With its focus on character-driven storytelling and mechanical depth, this DLC appeals to longtime Marvel enthusiasts and arcade game veterans seeking fresh challenges.
