Soul Smugglers is the third and final DLC expansion for Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager, introducing the Skeleton Lord as a new playable master character. This undead-themed expansion shifts the strategic focus toward morale manipulation and debuffing enemy champions, offering a distinct playstyle from the base game's other masters. The Skeleton Lord commands Psychopomp monsters—specialized undead units that gain enhanced effects when empowered by Soul Fragments stolen from defeated heroes.

The expansion introduces Soul Fragments as a core mechanic, allowing players to harvest these essence drops from enemy champions and convert them into permanent upgrades for their dungeon roster and promotions. The new Graveyard promotion system enables creative monster resurrection strategies, letting players revive fallen creatures in multiple ways to adapt to evolving threats. These mechanics create fresh tactical depth beyond the base game's established trap and monster combinations.

Soul Smugglers adds five new campaign missions alongside ten Psychopomp monsters, three specialized traps, and five artifacts, expanding the roster of tools available to dungeon managers. The expansion maintains the game's turn-based tactical combat and roguelite progression structure, where players manage their dungeon between waves of adventurer attacks, retain unlocks across failed runs, and work toward defeating increasingly powerful hero champions.

This DLC appeals to players who have mastered the base game's three primary masters and seek fresh strategic challenges through undead-focused gameplay. The soul-stealing mechanics and resurrection systems provide meaningful mechanical differentiation, rewarding players who invest time in learning the Skeleton Lord's unique strengths and weaknesses. Soul Smugglers completes the Legend of Keepers expansion cycle with a thematically cohesive final chapter.
