Kabitis is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where players take on the role of Kabitis and his friend Aike as they pursue the evil robot Dron to rescue kidnapped prisoners. The game emphasizes accessible, challenge-driven gameplay across approximately 30 stages set in diverse environments including mountains, beaches, and forests.

The core gameplay loop revolves around navigating levels within time-limited gates while collecting crystals and defeating enemies. As players progress, they accumulate points that increase character resilience, making the protagonists more resistant to damage. The game rewards exploration and combat engagement, creating a natural progression system tied to player performance.

A central mechanic is the in-game shop system, where collected crystals serve as currency. Players can purchase essential items like health-restoring juice, extra lives, and additional time to meet stage deadlines. The standout feature is the ability to buy "New Platforms," allowing players to construct custom paths through levels—a design choice that accommodates varied skill levels by letting struggling players build their own solutions rather than forcing a single optimal route.

Kabitis supports up to two-player cooperative gameplay via separate controllers or gamepads, adding social appeal. The game includes unlockable bonus stages, special arenas for battle mode, and collectible cards, providing extended content beyond the main campaign. Hazards like poisonous spikes and magic boxes with random rewards add environmental variety and risk-reward decision-making.

The game targets casual platformer fans and players seeking classic-inspired side-scrollers with modern accessibility features. Its short completion time (approximately 2 hours for the main story) and flexible difficulty accommodation through purchasable aids make it suitable for both experienced platformer enthusiasts and newcomers to the genre.
