Apartment No 129 is a first-person survival horror game inspired by a 2009 Turkish urban legend. You play as Emir, a content creator investigating an abandoned apartment building where a paranormal event allegedly occurred. Upon entering, you become trapped and must complete mysterious tasks left on notes throughout the apartment to escape, while uncovering the truth behind the dark events that transpired within its walls.

The core gameplay loop centers on exploration, environmental puzzle-solving, and reading documents to piece together the apartment's history. You navigate dimly lit corridors and rooms, managing limited resources like flashlight batteries while searching for keys, items, and clues. The atmosphere is deliberately oppressive—peeling wallpaper, flickering lights, and distant sounds create persistent dread rather than relying on jump scares.

Combat is minimal but present, featuring occasional encounters with hostile entities using melee and ranged weapons. The game emphasizes careful resource management and decision-making, with branching narrative paths and multiple endings determined by your choices and moral conscience throughout the experience. Progression rewards attention to environmental details and thorough exploration.

Apartment No 129 distinguishes itself through its grounding in real folklore and cinematic presentation, including live-action video sequences. The compact runtime of approximately two hours creates an intense, focused experience that prioritizes psychological horror and narrative depth over open-world exploration. The game appeals to players seeking atmospheric, story-driven horror with moral complexity rather than action-heavy gameplay.
