You are a homunculus—a creation born from alchemical ritual, summoned by the Alchemist himself with a singular promise: that the Philosopher's Stone holds the power to grant you a soul. In this first-person adventure, you'll journey through surreal, shifting environments filled with forgotten knowledge and fragmented memories. Each memory you uncover becomes an ingredient, a piece of a larger puzzle waiting to be solved.

The core gameplay loop centers on exploration and potion-crafting. You'll scan environments for glowing memory fragments, collect them as recipe components, and mix them in your alchemical vial to create potions that alter reality itself. Harden water to walk across impossible paths. Conjure fire to melt ice barriers. Each potion you brew unlocks new ways to interact with the world, making puzzle-solving feel like genuine discovery rather than trial-and-error. The game encourages experimentation within time-limited levels, forcing quick thinking and creative problem-solving.

What sets Alchemist: Journey of the Soul apart is its seamless blend of solo and cooperative play. While you can complete the journey alone, teaming up with up to three others transforms the experience into collaborative puzzle-solving where communication and coordination become essential. The atmospheric first-person perspective combined with the alchemy system creates an immersive sense of progression—as you unlock new abilities tied to memory and potion combinations, you feel genuinely more powerful.

Developed by OnSkull Games, this indie title targets players who enjoy cerebral, story-driven adventures with strong puzzle design. It appeals to fans of escape rooms and narrative-focused first-person games, offering both the meditative exploration of environmental storytelling and the satisfying mechanical depth of alchemy-based systems. Whether playing solo or in a group, the game's core question remains: what will you sacrifice to claim a soul of your own?
